25 Commas with Quotations 1. Use double quotation marks to set off a direct (wordfor-word) quotation. Example: "When will you be here?" he asked. 2. Either quotation marks or italics are customary for titles: songs, poems, article titles, chapter titles, etc. Not ok: magazines, books, plays, films these should be in italics 2/4
