1 TAVMA Company Profile TAVMA is a platform that builds a bridge between international emerging artists and the film industry. We develop production packaging for authors and directors who are not yet on the map. We put newcomers on the radar of the film industry, connect creatives with decision-makers as well as influencers, and provide opportunities beyond their own borders. We are the fairy godmother. TAVMA means the miracle in Greek. We believe film can change the world. It has the power to challenge our viewpoint and to unveil exceptional and unfamiliar perspectives. As creativity is power, we empower creativity. How do we make the miracle happen? TAVMA looks for unique and untold stories by upcoming filmmakers from regions still untapped by the international film industry. In a second step, we match these high potentials with the right partners. Finally, TAVMA brings the artists onto the international stage to the right audience. The company has been founded in 2017 by Willy Rollé, an experienced Franco-German filmmaker with Caribbean roots. The start-up was a selected participant at the Project Market Amman , funded by the Robert Bosch Foundation, the Goethe Institute, the Royal Film Commission Jordan, as well as the Arab Animation Forum within the International Animation Film Festival Stuttgart. At the 2017 International Film Festival in Dubai TAVMA has achieved four awards: the Dubai Film Connection Award 2017, funded participation at the TFI Network Market at the Tribeca Film Festival 2018 in New York City, USA; accreditation at the Producer s Network at the Festival du Film in Cannes 2018; and a nomination to participate at the Robert Bosch Pitching Competition at the Berlinale TAVMA is currently working on diverse inspiring projects. These include a creative documentary on migration by a Tunisian film artist, a documentary road movie by two Turkish filmmakers and a short film on the adult film industry by a Croatian director. A co-production with Slavica FIlm, Zagreb Ayça rewinds the route that her father Ismet had made 50 years ago from Zürich to Istanbul. Family business meets great history, with its hightlights and its shadows. Father and daughter go through joie de vivre and pain, with the feeling of being rooted and uprooted on both side of the Bosporus. A co-production with Macalube Films, Paris

4 IN PRE-PRODUCTION: THE SYRIANS Tunisia: 90 Creative Documentary Director: Ismaël Louati People flee from war to regain their lives - but even for Syrians in Lebanon, exile is far from normal. Thrown back, uncertainty continues to hover over their dreams and goals. One life of a Syrian refugee unfold through five characters: Starting from birth, going through childhood, the teenage years, adulthood, and ultimately ending with death.

5 NIGHT PRAYER Egypt: Feature Drama Directors : Abdelrahman & Saad Dnewar IN DEVELOPMENT: SIMSIM Qatar/Jordan: Short Director : Amer Jamhour During the holy month of Ramadan in an Arab country, the high school student Salwa, the religious teenage daughter of a prominent Muslim TV preacher, lives a forbidden love affair with the popular 18-year-old girl, Shereen, who is under pressure to leave the country because of her secret political activity on the internet. Simsim, a 12-year-old cemetery cleaner, wishes to buy a train ticket to the beach city of Aqaba, where he can make a living by the sea, away from the grip of his greedy boss. When saving money seems impossible, fate intervenes as he stumbles upon a chain of love letters hidden in a bouquet of flowers.

Do you know the butterfly effect? In a domino effect, a butterly flapping its wings in Brazil can provoke a storm in the Sahara. What if in this stimulating and optimistic animated series, our fair hero could incite us to change the world?

7 JUSTICE 10 Short Film & Social Project Directors : Willy Rollé & Volkan Dermikan Back from sports training, young Carsten has trouble with rowdies who take an important letter from him and go. Carsten has down syndrom and practices martial arts. He decides to follow his assailants. The film is complimented by a series of filmmaking workshops that invite people from a variety of backgrounds to work in front of the camera and behind it. Funding by the Renate-Lingk Foundation and supported by Filmboard Karlsruhe. DER KIOSK Germany: Tragicomedy Short, 14 Directors : Sabine Willmann & Willy Rollé Eccentric kiosk owner Hermann, an enthusiastic tango dancer, has given up on love. When his regular customer Ludovic s behavior leads him to realize this, Hermann rises to the challenge releasing the old to make way for the new.

8 Producer Biography - Willy Rollé Willy Rollé is an author, director and producer. Crossover, alternative and international producing is the core of this work. As a screenwriter, he was selected at the MAHD Film Lab selection 2017 for his first feature film. He is currently working on a participatory mini webseries REFUGEE WEBCOME, funded by the State Ministry of Baden- Württemberg for Art, Culture and Sciences, Germany. As a director, he has presented works at national and international film festivals like the World Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. He has worked with the Film Academy Ludwigsburg, the Media University Stuttgart, the FEMIS in Paris, SWR, BR, TRACE.TV, ARTE. Willy Rollé s work ART GALLERY represented Germany at EUROCHANNEL TV SHORT FILMTOUR As an emerging producer, he has been supported by the Robert-Bosch Foundation, the Goethe-Institut and Jordan s Royal Film Commission at the Arab Animation Forum. THE SYRIANS by director Ismaël in co-production with UTOPIA FILMS (Tunisia) and LES VALSEURS (France), his latest project currently in pre-production, won the Dubai-DFC-DIFF the 1st prize 2017, at the Dubai International Film Festival Dubai Film Connection.
