Please read through the Festival Rider for all relevant information for the Artists performing at the Festival. Please note: This rider forms an integral part of the agreement between Common People Festival Ltd, Sunday Best / Get Involved (the Promoter) and the Artist. We may not be able to accommodate specific dressing room and production riders as all are subject to the conditions of the Festival. This is a family friendly event the promoter kindly requests that you respect the young people in the audience and refrain from swearing and nudity. We look forward to working with you. The Advance You will be ed an online link to a Production Questionnaire from SC Productions Ltd, this will need completing and returning as soon as possible with relevant info and technical rider, stage plan and channel list. If you have any specific PRODUCTION questions that are not covered in this manual please the production team. Please contact Claire Turner claire.turner@sarahcole.co.uk for any questions regarding passes, guests, accreditation etc etc. 3. Production Information All Production Info can be found here:- Load-In Crew and equipment should be on site and checked in with your stage manager at least 3 (three) hours prior to the artists on stage time. Artists should be on site and checked in at the Artist Liaison Office at least 2 (two) hours before agreed stage time. All other Artists will have a line check during the changeover. If you have show files for these consoles, please them to ben@emissah.co.uk by 5pm on Monday 22nd May. Plug Ins If you have plug in requirements, please make us aware of them and they will be installed on the console before your arrival. You will need to provide your own ilok security device for use of any requested plug ins. Please note that we will not allow plug in installations onsite. Please ensure that you make contact with the Production Manager at least 2 weeks before show day to agree load-in time and production requirements. SC Productions Ltd Page 6

7 4. Festival Information Site The festival takes place in South Park - Oxford, please bear in mind that the weather can be very changeable. Please allow plenty of time for your travel arrangements as both punters, artists and crew all travel to the site and congestion is possible. Times Gates: Curfew: 10:30 daily 23:00 daily Getting to Common People Nearest commercial Airport London Heathrow or London Gatwick Nearest business Airport Oxford Airport Nearest Train Station Oxford Railway Station Directions Please allow plenty of time to get to site as roads can get congested. Access into and out of the site will be via GREEN GATE (off Headington Road). Please note; we are no longer using Morell Avenue for access. To avoid event traffic as much as possible please follow these directions to arrive as quickly as possible to site: Traveling to the event from London When traveling to the event from London, follow the A40 which merges into the M40 in Denham. Follow this until exit 8 on the M40 leading back into the A40 in Oxfordshire. From the A40 follow the road onto the A420 (London Road/Headington Road) and take a left turning into the site entrance Please follow all event signage to the Production Entrance. Traveling to the event from North When traveling from the North to Common People, follow the M40 Southbound leaving the motorway at exit 9 and move onto the A34. Follow this road until the exit for the B4027 signposted Bletchingdon Road/ Heathfield/Islip. Follow this road for 2.6 miles and take a right turn, follow this road to the end and then make a left onto the B4150 signposted Marsh Lane. At the roundabout take the first exit signposted Cherwell Drive and then the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Marston Road. Follow this road to the end and take a left onto Headington Road then take a right turning into the site entrance Please follow all event signage to the Production Entrance. 8 Traveling to the event from the East When traveling from the east to Common People, follow the A40 Eastbound until the exit signposted Marston/Elsfield, follow this road onto the B1450 signposted Marsh Lane. At the roundabout take the first exit signposted Cherwell Drive and then the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Marston Road. Follow this road to the end and take a left onto Headington Road then take a right turning into the site entrance Please follow all event signage to the Production Entrance. Travelling to the event from the South When travelling from the South to Common People, follow the A34 Northbound taking the exit signposted for the A4144/Oxford/ring road. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A423. After 0.3 miles take the left onto Abingdon Road. At the end of the road take anouther left, follow this road for 0.2 miles and then take a right turn onto the B4495/Wiers Lane. Follow this road to the end and then take a left turn onto Iffley Road. At the roundabout take the third exit onto St Clement s road. The site entrance will be on the right hand side. Please follow all event signage to the Production entrance. Site Map Arrival Details Tour Buses and trucks will arrive at the Production Entrance (GREEN GATE via Headington Road, postcode: OX3 0ED) and will park directly behind main stage. A member of the Artist Liaison team will direct you to the parking area and liaise with you on the transportation of your equipment. Please note that the roads around the park area are residential and narrow. Large Vehicles must take extra care. SC Productions Ltd Page 8

9 Parking Tour bus parking - 16 amp shore power is available. There is VERY limited parking nearby and there is no parking on site, therefore we need to limit the amount of vehicle passes to essential vehicles only. Where possible please arrive via public transport. If you are local and based in Oxford please leave your vehicles at home and arrange for a lift to site. Parking passes will not be mailed in advance They will be allocated on arrival if agreed during the advance. Ground Transport Ground Transport is not available unless agreed at point of contract. 10 Dressing Rooms PLEASE NOTE - due to the limited number of dressing rooms we will not be able to accommodate all acts. There is access to a chill out bar next to the dressing room compound and a communal marquee behind stage 2 and 3. For artists that have been allocated a dressing room there is a selection of lockable portacabins behind the Main Stage. Dressing rooms will be used in rotation with access from at least 2 hrs before your stage time and for half an hour after your stage time. We will inform you of your allocation during the advance. There are toilet facilities in the dressing room area. There are NO showers on site. The Festival management cannot be held responsible for any valuables left in the dressing room area. Artist Payments Deal Memos and Invoices to be addressed & ed to: Common People (Oxford) Ltd, 3 Loughborough Street, London SE11 5RB artistcpox@editioncapital.co.uk and dinavanderelst@bestival.net Payments: A deposit of 50% is payable 30 days prior to the festival, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed to in advance. Balance payable by BACS bank transfer on the performance date following satisfactory completion of the contracted performance. Invoices should reach us no later than 30 days after performance date. If the artist(s) is VAT registered please let us know, and send the VAT registration number to artistcpox@editioncapital.co.uk. Please note that VAT will not be paid without a valid VAT invoice, and is paid with balance payment. Internet There is no Wi-Fi connection at this show. Catering Catering will NOT be available to all Artists The Artist Liaison team will be in touch if you have been allocated catering. Dressing Room Rider Artists will receive a generic festival rider of beer, cider, softs and water. SC Productions Ltd Page 10

11 Passes Please complete the Online Artist Advance form correctly stating name and role of each individual in your party. Accreditation (wristbands) will be available for collection on the day. Passes are limited to essential personnel only. Accreditation submissions will be monitored. Guest List Guest list numbers are as specified in your Deal Memo. We will not be sending out any Guest Tickets in advance. You will need to submit the names of any guests via the online advance site. There is a guest list charge payable IN CASH on arrival at the box office, this goes towards the Common People/Camp Bestival/Bestival Festival charities that are supported throughout the year and a contribution to site facilities. Please inform your guests to pay the donation in cash when they arrive at the festival. Guest tickets are day entry only.
