KMT Productions present A BUNCH OF AMATEURS By Ian Hislop and Nick Newman From an original story by Jonathan Gershfield & John Ross Keen to boost his flagging career, fading Hollywood action hero, Jefferson Steele, arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford only to find that this is not the birthplace of the Bard but a sleepy Suffolk village and the cast are a bunch of amateurs. Jefferson s monstrous ego, vanity and insecurity are tested by the enthusiastic amateur thespians - who are not averse to a spot of ego, vanity and insecurity themselves. These tunes featured the sound of Frankie Valli; that sound of course is Valli s falsetto, which dominated the airwaves of that time. The Band consisted of an all-male lineup and truly were one of the most talented acts of the 60s and 70s. They sold over a 100 million records worldwide which landed them a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Walk Like A Man is the ultimate Tribute Show to one of the most successful bands, produced by the West End s very own Jersey Boy, Mark Halliday. Adult 20 Concessions 18 The Astor Big Band and Singers present a live concert of big band hits which include a host of Glenn Miller classics such as In The Mood, American Patrol and At Last, plus the big band standards of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Based on the MGM Film & The Sobbin Women by Stephen Vincent Benet Set in 1850s Oregon, Adam, the eldest of the seven Pontipee brothers, has the task of caring for his brothers since their mother died. It is obvious that a woman is needed to head the household and Adam is chosen to make the long journey to the nearest town. By chance, Adam finds Milly for himself but how does he find partners for six boorish, disrespectful young men. This swinging musical tells of the winning and wooing of seven cowboy brothers. It combines memorable songs such as Bless Your Beautiful Hide, Goin Courtin and Wonderful, Wonderful Day with exuberant dance who could resist?
