1 Ash Jenkins Editor Profile Ash Jenkins began his editing career working with acclaimed British filmmaker Nick Broomfield, on feature documentary and docu-drama, His Big White Self, Ghosts and Battle For Haditha. Nick Broomfield, once commenting for broadcast magazine said, "Ash is incredibly fast with the equipment, he's the only Editor I've ever worked with who can edit as fast as he can think." In 2008, Ash established a post-production facility, Roundtable Films where teaming up with leading production companies they made feature documentaries for TV broadcasters and in association with Britdoc Foundation/DocSociety, including; Afghan Star (a music competition and the affect of western programming in an Islamic Republic); Blur: No Distance Left To Run (about the reunion of the Brit-Pop band); Vote Afghanistan!; Albino United and Me And Me Dad (a biopic/family drama on John Boorman). More recently through his company Remote Post Limited, with its head office in London and regional office in Nairobi Kenya, Ash has provided both Production and Post-Production solutions; to many of East Africa's leading brands, including East Africa Breweries, Safaricom, Kenya Commercial Bank, Chase Bank, Kenya Tourism Board, Global Economic Summit, Fresh and Philips; and to production companies creating TV content for international broadcasters and distributors, including Channel 4, Nat Geo, FOX and SONY PICTURES. Ash continues independently as a freelance Feature Editor, editing feature documentaries and TV documentaries, including; Sir Trevor McDonald on Martin Luther King, Royal Doc 'The Queen', Royal Doc 'Prince Philip', Silas (a feature documentary about Liberia's corrupt leadership), Madina's Dream (about the lives of the rebels fighting for freedom in the Nuba Mountains), Mugabe: Hero or Villain. Ash with his drive and passion towards thought-provoking storytelling, loves to work with old colleagues and create new colleagues, on occasion mentoring the pre-production stages of projects to help bring projects to fruition. Editor, Colourist, Albino United - National Geographic / More 4 (1 x 66 min) Documentary. Over the last few years, more than 50 albinos have been murdered in Tanzania, including children and babies as young as six months old. Many more have been attacked with machetes and have had their limbs cut off. The film was shot throughout the band's 2009 rehearsals and subsequent summer tour. It features previously unseen archive material alongside new interviews with the four band members. Fearless Foods Channel 4 (10 x 24 min) TV series for FOX, inspired by the series following Kiran Jethwa as he discovers food in Tales from the Bush Larder. Fearless Foods takes cooking to a whole new level, where Kiran travels three continents to find extremely hard to get ingredients (harvest or mine) and create a dish for the people he visits. Amongst other precarious situations Kiran must descend dangerous cliffs, free dive and climb 30ft high palm trees to complete his recipe. 2016, Editor & Colourist Lions Den Quite Bright Films, Kenya (12 x 43 min) Reality TV show where entrepreneurs pitch their business ventures to the Lions a panel of top Kenyan business leaders, whom may decide to invest in the entrepreneurs project or declare themselves out. Obtained from SONY PICTURES the rights to the hit UK TV show of a similar name DRAGONS DEN granted the production company the right to make this show a hit for Kenya. 2016, Editor & Grader Going For Green Quite Bright Films, Kenya (13 x 43 min) A 13-episode TV show for East Africa that looks at the greenest technologies and solutions, which are having a positive impact on the lives of Africans. 5 Stay (TV Series) (13 x 23 min) Stay is new TV series about an interracial couple in Nairobi. This show is the first TV series in Kenya to be sponsored by Nokia. The first season follows a Kenyan businesswoman called Nubia, who has fallen in love with an American man called Shane. Problems arrive when his mother comes to stay and tries to ruin the engagement. A hilarious drama comedy / 2014, Producer, Director, Editor The Samaritans (2 x 23 min) These two episodes are a pilot for an upcoming TV series about an NGO called Aid For Aid, which does absolutely nothing. Peter Ajak, once a Sudanese child soldier, repatriated to South Sudan after obtaining a degree from Harvard; Ajak now working for the world bank has set up a Wrestling league as a way to foster unity through a traditional sport shared by tribes who have been in conflict.
