The figure below shows a Scan 5 with 3 modified trajectories displayed. Page 1

2 After recording a Scan 5, the K7 program will display the Myo-trajectory based on the Myo-pulse. If you would like to deviate from this Myo-trajectory and see what the trajectory is at different positions, you can have the patient move to a different position and press the Space Bar. The K7 program will record 1.5 seconds of data to capture the Myo-trajectory at this new position and display it. You can do this up to 4 times capturing the Myo-trajectory at 4 different locations on the screen. Ability to Align the Sensor Array to the Edge to Edge Position has been added Right before you take a bite registration on a Scan 5, you must first align the Sensor Array. This is extremely important to line up the cursors with the CO position on the screen to get the most accurate bite possible. In some cases after doing dynamic decompression or other procedure, you may not want the patient to bring their teeth back to CO in order to align the Sensor Array prior to taking the bite. If this is the case, you can now setup to align the Sensor Array at the Edge to Edge position prior to doing the dynamic decompression and then use this position to align the Sensor Array prior to taking the bite. Sagittal/Velocity/Horizontal mode has been added A new Horizontal mode has been added to show you the Sagittal, Velocity and Horizontal view on the same screen as shown in the figure below. Sagittal/Frontal/Horizontal mode gives you a whole new perspective of the patient s data. In the example below, after taking a Scan 2, the H key was pressed to display the recorded data in Sagittal/Frontal/Horizontal mode. You should be familiar with the Sagittal and Frontal view on the left and middle of the screen. The Horizontal view is on the right of the screen showing the jaw movement as if you were looking down at the top of the head with the patient s nose pointing to the bottom of the screen. You can use the Redraw option (F2) to replay the tracing in slow motion and get a better understanding on how the jaw moves during the open and close cycle for this patient. Page 2

3 The Ability to Record EMG data along with a Scan 5 has been added When recording a Scan 5, you can now choose to record the EMG data as part of the Scan 5 tracing. A new System Option Record EMG Data when Taking a Scan 5 has been added and when checked the EMG data will be stored as part of the Scan 5. The Scan 5 will look the same in the Sweep/Xy mode or the Sagittal/Frontal mode as shown below. However, the simultaneous EMG data has also been recorded. Scan 5 Sweep/XY mode Sagittal/Frontal mode Since you have recorded the EMG data as part of the Scan 5, you can NOW view the EMG data along with the Jaw tracking data as shown below. You can choose the Mode option from the Menu bar and then CMS + EMG RAW mode and the data will be redrawn showing all 8 channels of EMG and 3 channel of Jaw Tracking as shown in the figure below. You can choose the Redraw option to redraw the data in slow motion for further evaluation. Page 3

4 You can also use the Split Screen mode to view the data in two different modes as shown in the figure below. The Sagittal and Frontal view of the data is in the left window and the EMG Raw data is in the right window. If you chose the Redraw option the data in both windows will be redrawn in slow motion for you to evaluate. There are many possibilities to view the simultaneous EMG and Jaw tracking data by selecting the various modes and using the Split Screen option. New Educational Video added to K7 Program The new Educational video has been added to the K7 program as shown below. Page 4

5 Technical Support Option has been Enhanced Now it is even easier to get Technical Support help from Myotronics. A new option has been added to the Patient Name screen to allow quick and easy access for Myotronics Technician to log-on and trouble-shoot any problem or issue you may be having or would like us to look at. Video Option has been Enhanced The Video option that allows you to store simultaneous video of the patient while taking data has been enhanced to easily identify which Scans have a stored video associated with them. Test Series has been Enhanced The Test Series has been enhanced to indicate which tracing you are currently recording when recording multiple recording of the same Scan. Page 5
