Friends, As we ring in the New Year, it gives us an opportunity to reflect on all the experiences we have shared over the past year.

This month I celebrate my 12th anniversary at Singing Woods. It is hard to believe even as I am writing it.

As I think back on my time here I realize how far we have come. However, we realize there is always room for growth and improvement.

We are grateful for our many blessing and the memories and friendships we have shared in We are looking for forward to another great year at SpringHills Singing Woods. This month I celebrate my 12th anniversary at Singing Woods. It is hard to believe even as I am writing it. I am thankful for all the residents and families I have had the honor to serve over the years and I am looking forward to many more memories with all of you. As I think back on my time here I realize how far we have come. However, we realize there is always room for growth and improvement. We are always open to suggestions you may have to make your experience here the most enjoyable. We want to make 2017 the best year yet! As always, we have many exciting events planned for you this month. While it may be frigid outside, it is nice and toasty in here by the fireplace. January 8th at p Bob Lovelace Join us in celebrating Elvis Birthday with his favorite sandwich of peanut butter & bananas. Bob Lovelace with be singing many of Elvis greatest hits. Bring a friend and join in on the fun! January 13th at 1 ROMEO Luncheon Join Chris for an all men s luncheon, this month the Men will get to pick where they want to go. This is always a great time with even better food. January 13th at 1 Scams against Seniors Join us for a presentation on scams against seniors by Montgomery County Deputy Sheriff Lane. January 17th at Glaucoma Join us for a presentation on what you need to know about Glaucoma by Amy Stoltz Director of Resident Care. January 17th at David Mullikin David will be entertaining us with some country music, all time favorites of our residents, plus some fun jokes and stories. David plays at the Blue Bird Café in Nashville, Tenn. January 19th at p Fun Auction Join us for our resident all time favorite activity! The fun auction is a chance for our residents to come and win some free prizes for themselves. Whether it is apartment necessities, snacks, books, scarves, door decorations or other fun goodies! January 25 at p January Birthday Celebration Come and help us celebrate our Birthdays this month! Nothing says Happy Birthday Like some balloons, party hats, and cake! January 26 at p Lary Eaton Lary will be here to play the guitar, singing some old country tunes and a few songs that our residents love to sing along to. January Shopping This month we will be going to Walmart, Aldi s/ Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. Weather permitting January Outings We will be going to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. We also will be going to MCL Cafeteria for lunch. Weather permitting January 1 at p New Year Social We are going to start the New Year off with a fun social with BBQ meatballs, cheeseball and yummy dessert. Join us as we come together for our 2017 New Year social. January 5 at Food Committee Chef Misty will be meeting with our residents to talk about their likes, dislikes. Nothing says Happy Birthday Like some balloons, party hats, and cake! January Pet Therapy On Monday Mornings Rudy or e from Vitas pet therapy comes to visit our residents. They are so happy to see Rudy & e they bring so much happiness and joy to our residents. Our residents love that special time where they can love and cuddle with Rudy & it s such a pleasure to see their smiles. January Bountiful Baking Our bakers this month will be making a variety of delicious treats for everyone. They will be making pie in a mug, snowballs and hot chocolate fudge and snow ice cream. January Creative Crafters Our crafters this month will be making snow globes, snowmen and dazzling Icicles. Come join us in the fun we having making our crafters. Signature Touch Aromatherapy Our Signature Touch Aromatherapy Program incorporates specific essential oils and other natural herbs to engage Residents in distinctive aromatherapy activities, creating the opportunity for further connection.
