The Spirit of 45 (U) Tuesday 18th November 7.45pm 6.90/ 5.40 concs (U) 98 mins Ken Loach s film about how the spirit of unity, which buoyed Britain during the war years, carried through to create a vision of a fairer, united society. This documentary is essential for all students of post war history as well as a fascinating collection of first hand accounts for all audiences. Black Country singer Gary O Dea will be playing in Lock Works from 6pm for both screenings, come and have a listen before the films. CENTRAL YOUTH THEATRE - AFTER DAWN - Tuesday 11th November 6.30pm 2.00 To mark the anniversary of the end of WW1, Central Youth Theatre have produced After Dawn, a film which tells the story of one Midland family who are must face up to the disgrace of their husband & father being shot at dawn. Members have also researched and created an accompanying exhibition which will also be on display. Supported through the Heritage Lottery Fund, the film was researched and the screenplay written by Laura Sambrooks. The cast of young actors from the Central Youth Theatre were filmed on location around the West Midlands.Tickets are on sale at 2.00 STARS - Q&A Special. Wednesday 12th November 8pm A special screening of this British drama about Dylan Thomas will take place on 12th, to be followed by a Q&A from a special guest from the production - keep an eye on social media for updates!

Our seasonal matinées this year will be ELF and WHITE CHRISTMAS, screening at 2pm, followed by winter songs and Christmas Carols in the courtyard at 4.30pm. Remember what Buddy the Elf says: The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear. There will be food stalls and mulled wine to purchase following the films. She works part time at Light House, and also runs entertainment company Cohesion, booking comedians, presenters and musicians for award ceremonies and corporate events. Outside work, Julie is mum to Jodie and Jack, loves playing trumpet, books and musicals and, like Kelly Jeffs, is another addict of The Archers! She says I love working with our regular customers to create new events such as our themed nights with the Language Cafés, the Northern Soul party, Americana Event and coming up with words and concepts such as Thinema and Midwinter Mistletoe &and Mulled Wine!
