Large Moot Court Room; The A/V Specification 1.2 A 7 States there is a Wall Mounted Display in the Green Room adjacent to Large Moot Court Room #199. I do not see a Room adjacent which indicates this Display on the AV Reference Drawings for AV Rough-In. Can you inform us as to the room #? (6) Cameras are required as noted in the AV Systems bid package. My Understanding of the Scope of Work is that the Communications Contractor will Furnish, Punch Down & Test ALL CAT Network Drops From Local IDF to the Equipment Racks in A/V Room 199A. The will Also Furnish & Terminate All LAN Jacks in Floor Boxes & Wall Plates. It is the AV Contractor Scope to get Any Room Device Requiring a LAN Connection to provide the interconnection to Wall Plate, Floor Box, Or Equipment Rack. Am I Correct? Please Confirm that the Vaddio AV Bridges will Not be Connected to the Network. Am I Correct? Please Confirm the U-K IT will Provide ALL Network Switched & Provide ALL PoE & PoE+ Requirements as Required for the AV Equipment and will they set up a V-LAN for All the Dante Network Audio Ref. Large Meeting Rooms: The Specification 1.2 D. 5. Calls for [2] PTZ Cameras per Classroom [ 1-Front of Room & 1- Back of Room]. The Equipment List & the Drawing SY5.0 calls for only [1] per Room. Can You Please Clarify Quantity & Location? Ref. Large Classrooms: Equipment List & Specification Call for a Single 40U Equipment Rack in the Rear Closet of Rm # 297. AV Reverence Drawing call for a J9 Power Outlet, the same for a Display, Project, Screen etc. & NOT for a J8 Rack Power Outlet. ] Ref. Large Classrooms: Specification 1.2 D. 9. States that these room will interface & Control the Room s Lighting Control System. I don t see any reference to this on Drawing SY05.0. Can you Please verify which is correct? All the Moot Court & Classrooms have Listen ALS IR Transmitters w/ NO Receiving Unit & Accessories Listed on the Equipment List. Specification 1.2 D. 8. Call to provide 4% of Audience RF Receivers. Can you verify Clarify? All the Moot Court & Classrooms: ALS Accessories for RF Receivers; Single Or Dual Ear Buds? % of Neck Loops? DO Charging Units Need to Supplied? Projector lensing shall be priced based on the Room Projection Screen Schedule on sheet AV-02. Final selection shall be coordinated per field conditions. All network connections originating from IDF rooms will be provided and installed by others. It is in the AV Contractor scope to furnish and install (provide) all required LAN connections between AV equipment and patch panel located within AV Room 199A. These connections are noted within the AV Systems bid drawings with keynote P. A separate network patch panel with connections to building network will be provided and installed by others. The AV Contractor shall provide patch connections between the AV patch panel and building network patch panel. This scenario only occurs in AV Room 199A. Correct. Correct. The single PTZ camera specified for the Large Classrooms shall be located on the rear wall. The equipment rack shall be located inside the closet located at the house-right rear corner of the space and is equipped with a pull box, power and network outlets. One of the RS-232 ports of the Extron control processor shall connect directly to the lighting control interface. Lighting control interface shall be provided by others. Provide the following which shall be shared throughout the building: (12) Listen LR-4200-IR Receivers, (12), Listen LA-365 Rechargeable Li-ion batteries, (12) Listen LA-401 Universal Ear Speakers, (1) Listen LA Unit Charging Bay. 4 Where are the Units Not Being Unused Receivers Stored At; Lectern, Rack, Front Desk to be Signed Out? Ref. Divisible Classroom: Do the [3] Classroom Lecterns Get MAP PowerCooling Units? They are not on the Equipment List. Ref. Small Classroom: Do the Credenza Equipment Rack Require MAP PowerCool Units? Ref. Conference Room: The SY08 Drawing indicates that the Presentation Switcher has System Control built-in. The Equipment List Part # & Description of the Unit to be Provided does not have any control capabilities. Will you please clarify? Ref. Staff/Faculty Lounges: Equipment List Part # Call Out for a FPD w/ Speaker Only. There is NO System Description for these Rooms under 1.2. Looking at the System Flow Drawing SY11.0, it indicates that these FPD get a RF to them. Can you please Clarify Part # on Equipment List or if a OFCI Cable Tuner Set Top Box w/ HDMI is Required Ref. Staff/Faculty Lounges: Is There any RF Cabling in the A/V Scope of Work? Ref. Interactive Digital Signal: What Touch Technology do you want on the Elo Touch Displays; IR or PCAP? This is not Called out in Specification 1.2 L 1 & 2. What is the Status of the Extron Master Quote? If we need to Contact Extron Ourselves we will need to know the Master Quote #. Please confirm if this project is subject to sales tax. Please confirm if there are union labor requirements on this project. Cooling units are not required for the Divisible Classroom Lecterns Cooling units are not required. Provide an Extron IN1608 xi IPCP SA w/ Link License The Staff/Faculty Lounges require a wall mounted flat panel display for viewing broadcast TV connected to the building RF connection located behind the display. No, Any RF cabling will be installed by others. The AV Contractor is responsible for installing the RF connection between the TV and RF wall plate located behind the TV. Provide infrared (IR). The quote is available. Request quote number: Not Tax-Exempt. Bidders are informed that construction contracts for the University of Kentucky are not exempt from the provisions of the Kentucky Sales and/or Use Tax. The Bidder shall include in the lump sum bid and the Contractor shall pay sales, consumer, use and similar taxes for materials, equipment and supplies incorporated into the Work unless otherwise specified in the Bid Documents. No, please refer to Addendum 1. This is to clarify that effective Monday, January 9, 2017 the Commonwealth of Kentucky s prevailing wage law applying to public works projects was repealed. 5 The Attachment F Audiovisual Systems System Descriptions for the Divisible Classrooms, Large Classrooms, Medium Classrooms, and Small Classrooms indicate that each of these spaces will include two (2) PTZ cameras. However, Drawings SY04, SY05, SY06, and SY07 only illustrate one (1) PTZ camera. Furthermore, Attachment E Audiovisual Systems Bidding Equipment Lists only includes one (1) PTZ camera for these systems. Please confirm that the line drawings and equipment lists show the correct quantity of PTZ cameras. The Attachment F Audiovisual Systems System Description for the Staff Conference Room indicates that all equipment shall be mounted below the table or behind the flat panel display. However, Drawing SY09 illustrates multiple items of equipment for this system as located within an equipment rack. Please clarify if an equipment rack is required for the Staff Conference Room. Appendix A on page 69 of Attachment F Audiovisual Systems contains a list of drawings for the project. However, drawing SY01.0A, and SY07.0A are not contained in the drawing index on Drawing SY00. Instead, Drawing SY01.3 and SY07.1 are illustrated in the drawing index. Furthermore, the drawing descriptions for drawings SY01.0A, SY07.0, and SY07.0A do not exactly match the descriptions shown on the drawing index on drawing SY00. Please confirm that the drawing index on drawing SY00 contains the correct list of drawings. SOW Section 3 / Part 1 / 1.2 A.21 states All network connections for AV devices will connect to the Owner s network. Multiple, subsequent sections state The Contractor shall provide and install a private AV control and Dante audio network. The supplied Equipment List does not detail any network switching components. Please advise / clarify the requirement for AV & Dante Audio networking infrastructure. Only one camera is required and located at the rear of each teaching space. An equipment rack is not required, all equipment connecting to the display or computer shall be mounted behind the flat panel display. All other equipment shall be mounted below the table. Drawings SY01.0A and SY07.0A have been omitted from the project. Refer to the Drawing Index noted on SY00 for the correct list of drawings. 6 Large Moot Courtroom; Please provide the following: Estimated projection throw distance Ceiling Height (at the screen) Ceiling Height (at the Control Room) Any additional detail / drawings regarding the alcove projector ventilation (IE. GC plans, etc) Multiple areas of the SOW states A wireless infrared based hearing assist system shall be provided to meet the needs of the hearing impaired. The system shall provide wireless radio frequency receivers for at least 4% of the audience members. Please clarify or correct the highlighted section Please provide make/model of the GC supplied projection screens, per room and area Please provide make and model of the lighting systems to be controlled Staff / Faculty Lounge detail is missing in Section 3 of the SOW. These (2) areas appear to be single 48 displays & mount (1 per). Please advise if these displays require interfacing of any type, if a shelf (for cable / sat) is required, etc. Please provide Extron Master Quote Number Attachment E Equipment List includes an Echo 360 Pro Lecture Capture Device. It is listed without Bidding Notes. Is this to be Contractor provided or Owner Provided? Page 169: Keyed Bidding Notes Question: What is the Extron Master Quote #? Page 177: Pre-Bid Substitutions Question a: Would the University consider fully engineered and supported Crestron switching and control systems in replace of Extron if it provides substantial cost savings?
