Normay, the rechargeabe battery shoud not need repacement, but after very ong use over a number of years, the rechargeabe battery may ose its abiity to achieve a fu charge. If you experience probems getting the rechargeabe battery to a fu charge, contact your deaer or CASIO distributor about having the rechargeabe battery repaced. The correct battery power indicator shoud appear after a few minutes. Frequent backight and aarm operations over a short period put a heavy oad on the battery, which can cause the battery power indicator to fash, indicating that the backight and aarm are disabed. Norma operations shoud return after the battery recovers from the overoad condition. The above condition can occur after about consecutive 00 backight operations or about 60 aarm operations. Charging Precautions Certain charging conditions can cause the watch to become very hot. Avoid eaving the watch in the areas described beow whenever charging its rechargeabe battery. 6 Backight Precautions The eectro-uminescent pane that provides iumination oses power after very ong use. The iumination provided by the backight may be hard to see when viewed under direct sunight. The watch may emit an audibe sound whenever the dispay is iuminated. This is due to vibration of the EL pane used for iumination, and does not indicate mafunction. The backight automaticay turns off whenever an aarm sounds. The backight remains it for about two seconds from the point you press the button, even if it is aready it when you press the button. If you keep the button depressed for two seconds or more, the backight automaticay turns off. Frequent use of the backight runs down the battery. Auto ight switch precautions Wearing the watch on the inside of your wrist, movement of your arm, or vibration of your arm can cause frequent activation of the auto ight switch and iumination of the dispay. To avoid running down the battery, turn off the auto ight switch whenever engaging in activities that might cause frequent iumination of the dispay. Note that wearing the watch under your seeve whie the auto ight switch is turned on can cause frequent iumination of the dispay and can run down the battery. More than degrees too high The backight may not ight if the face of the watch is more than degrees above or beow parae. Make sure that the back of your hand is parae to the ground. The backight turns off in about two seconds, even if you keep the watch pointed towards your face. Static eectricity or magnetic force can interfere with proper operation of the auto ight switch. If the backight does not ight, try moving the watch back to the starting position (parae with the ground) and then tit it back toward you again. If this does not work, drop your arm a the way down so it hangs at your side, and then bring it back up again. Under certain conditions, the backight may not ight unti about one second after you turn the face of the watch towards you. This does not necessariy indicate mafunction of the backight. You may notice a very faint cicking sound coming from the watch when it is shaken back and forth. This sound is caused by mechanica operation of the auto ight switch, and does not indicate a probem with the watch.
