Cut the boxes vertically, cutting only on the dotted lines. Make sure not to separate the squares at the top. 4. Many of the activities have supporting materials. If the activities have supporting materials, the page numbers where the materials can be found will be provided. Silent Skateboards 1. Before class, gather scissors and glue for each student. 2. During class, distribute the scissors and glue, and the handout on page Instruct the students to work individually, in pairs, or in groups to complete the handout. 4. Explain to the students that they should cut out the skateboard wheels, and then arrange them on the paper to make words. Each of the words will have a silent letter, which is already written on the skateboard. 5. Once the students have made all the words, have them glue the wheels onto the page.
