4 Letter Blends with Short Vowels Flip Book Directions: Make a flip book for each student. 1. Copy pages Cut out the strips along the outside dashed lines. 3. Cut the boxes vertically, cutting only on the dashed lines. Make sure not to cut on the solid lines. 4. 7 Activity Ideas for Teachers The following activities can be used with the Flip Book. All of the activities have supporting materials. The page numbers where the materials can be found are provided. All Things Royal Directions 1. Distribute copies of the handout on page Instruct the students to work individually, in pairs, or in groups to complete the handout. 3. Define the word jester and show the students the picture of a jester on the handout. Explain that a jester is an entertainer who tries to be funny by singing funny songs or doing funny things. 4. Read aloud the sentences that are on the student handout. Have the students use their flip books to help them complete the sentences with words that could be seen or heard in a royal palace.
