As it grows in size the problems associated with the maintenance and security of the documents also grow. The researchers have always helped the librarian in solving their problems. To solve the problems of arranging documents in the order they have given classification schemes. To automate the counter activities they gave us bar-codes. Bar-codes have served the librarians and libraries for a long time, and now it is slowly getting replaced by RFID. The paper discusses briefly the evolution of library management systems and how changes in technology, information environment, user expectations and searching behaviors, competition from related application streams and the availability of enterprise wide systems particularly in academic and research environments have influenced changes in library management system functionality and design. This paper is meant to help the students as well as staff of the library to maintain the library in the best way possible and also reduce the human efforts. Keywords: library management system, security system, barcode, RFID sensor. [1] INTRODUCTION The library management system is a project which aims at developing a computerized system to maintain all the daily work of the library.this project has many features which are generally not available in normal library management systems like facility of user login and a facility of login for teachers. It also has a facility of admin login through which the admin can monitor the whole system. It also has the facility of an online notice board where teachers can student can put up information about workshops or seminars being held in our colleges or nearby colleges and librarian after proper verification from the concerned institution or organization. It has also a facility where the students, after logging into their accounts can see the list of books issued and its issue date and return date and also the students can request the librarian to add new books by filling the book request form. The librarian after logging into his account, i.e. admin account can generate reports such as student report, issue report, teacher report and book report. In the library, the librarian is the Admin. The staff is used to maintain the record of the member of that Library and the books that they had borrowed from that library. They also have to maintain a particular time period after which they have to pay some fine for their borrowed book. The objective of this work is to provide Better and Efficient service to members. Its benefits are: (1) It reduces paper work. (2) Reduce the workload of the Employee. (3) Faster retrieval of information about the desired book. (4) Provide facility for proper monitoring and provide data security. (5) All details will be available at a click. : This program is suitable for small and medium size library. Small Size Library :- Library having books in hundreds quantity. Medium Size Library :- Library having books in thousands of quantity. It is used by Librarian to manage the library using a computerized system. This system was developed and designed to help Librarian record every transaction so that the problem such as record missing will not happen. Modification of the available data will be easier and there is no need to fill the whole record for just a small change. This proposed system is more efficient and quick in order to find a record. [2] LAYOUT OF PROGRAM A simple c++ program consists of several steps for execution. The program layout is shown in Figure: 1. START body :- A program needs a start body from which it starts functioning. Then comes, (1) Requirement Statement :- Where all the essential things are arranged to suit your requirement for the program. (2) Feasibility study :- Here all the conditions are checked, so that the program generates the desired output. (3) System analysis :- It is the process of examining something in order to find out what the system consists of. (4) System design :- It consists of designing of system code as per our requirement. (5) Implementation: - It consists all functions for the generated desired output 2

It consists of 3 options available for the user in the main menu; (1) Book issue. (2) Book deposit. (3) Administrator menu. If the user chooses the Administrator menu, then several 9 options are available for him: 1) Create a student record. 2) Display all students. 3) Display specific student. 4) Modify student record. 5) Delete student record. 6) Create book record. 7) Display all book. 4

The rest of the function depends on the choice of the user whether he wants to issue book or return the book. The snapshots of the C++ program are shown in Figure :3, Figure: 4 and Figure :5. One of such initiative is being discussed in this paper using c++language. This program provides easy accessibility and enhance security for library book management.the concept of RFID can be simplified to that of an electronic barcode and can be used to identify, track, sort or detect library holdings at the circulation desk and in the daily stock maintenance.
