1 Directors Notes Directing a pantomime is one of the most rewarding tasks, once the show has been cast the fun begins, and we have had great fun putting this one together. The script we have used is a professional one, Buttons has been played by Norman Wisdom, Cinderella by Martin McCutcheon and the Fairy Queen by Barbara Windsor to name a few. Finding the right songs which hopefully the children and Mums and Dads will enjoy is a pleasure, because in pantomime as long as they carry the story along, anything goes. I have Margaret to design the scenery and costumes, Peter to choreograph the big numbers and Doreen to Stage Manage the show - a truly magical team. Rehearsals have been a big laugh adding our own gags, and I m sure you will enjoy the finished production. 5 Biographies ORIANE FIEVET (Cinderella) Oriane won the Young Entertainer of the Year in 2003, and as a talented singer and dancer is delighted to be playing Cinderella. Her most recent role was as Tuptim in The King and I. Oriane is also a member of the Norma Wilson School of Dance. AMI LLOYD (Prince Charming) Ami has appeared in many productions at the Salon. Her first role was in The Music Man and four years ago she played the title role of Peter Mitchell s production of Oliver. Ami s mother is Tina Rose a well known entertainer on the Coast. He last directed Cinderella at the Salon Variet es Theatre 12 years ago and is delighted to be working with such a talented and fun cast. He is currently working on Les Miserables and Grease which are planned for this theatre in the near future. PETER HEIGHT (Mona) Peter first put on a frock when he played one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella 12 years ago. He is well known for his versatility having played everything from Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady to the King in The King and I. ISMAEL ROMERO-CLARK (Buttons) It has always been Ismael ambition to play Buttons and at seventeen years of age he has achieved exactly that. Audiences will remember him for his excellent portrayal of Lun Tha in The King and I. DAVID VINCENT (Griselda) A firm favorite with audiences in the Salon Varietés, David has a wealth of experience on the professional stage.
