Our Washington State approved online courses are developed by local, licensed professionals to provide you with the most current and accurate information. Online courses are self-paced, allowing the student to complete a course on their own schedule, taking breaks when necessary. Courses are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, for one year from the date of purchase. Please note: per WAC B-970 (4)(D), Electrical Trainees can NOT receive continuing education credit for online courses. Topics include proper guidelines for electrical exposure; precautionary steps necessary to ensure a safe work environment; lockout/tagout; PPE; and training requirements for all workers. Effective July 1, 2017, all state inspections will be based on the current version of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) B, and the 2017 National Electrical Code. Required Books/Materials: 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC); Washington State Amendments (free PDF included with course) 2015 UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE (UPC) On July 1, 2016, Washington State adopted the 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) with the Washington State Amendments as the code regulating all plumbing installations in the State. Effective July 1, 2016, all continuing education courses for Plumbers and Plumber Trainees, both online and in the classroom, will be based on the 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code. Effective January 1, 2017, the Journey level and Residential Specialty examination will be based on the 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code. CITC does not sell the 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code. Code books can be found online, at larger supply stores or at local bookstores. Required Books/Materials: 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code (recommended, not required); Washington State Amendments (free PDF included with course) Waste & Vent Sizing Online...$39 CEU Credit: 4 hours Plumbing Code or 4 hours Industry Related Plumbing This online course challenges students on the proper application and interpretation of Chapters 7 through 10 of the 2015 UPC as it relates to drain, waste, and vent loading and pipe sizing To successfully complete this online course, student must have a prior knowledge of waste and vent sizing. Required Books/Materials: 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC); Washington State Amendments (free PDF included with course); Waste & Vent Sizing drawings (included with course) Water Pipe Sizing Online...$39 CEU Credit: 4 hours Plumbing Code or 4 hours Industry Related Plumbing This online course challenges students to properly size water pipes by emphasizing the Tables in Chapter 6 of the 2015 UPC and information on the current Water Supply Fixture Units. To successfully complete this online course, student must have a prior knowledge of water pipe sizing. 9 Electrical Trainee Washington State Approved Basic Classroom Training Courses Our basic classroom training courses are developed by local, licensed professionals to meet the continuing education requirements for Electrical Trainees. Classroom courses encourage interaction, feedback and lively discussions with your fellow classmates. Participants learn practical, useful information. Electrical Journeyman, Electrical Administrator's or Master Electricians can take any of the courses offered under the Electrical Trainee section of this catalog for Industry Related continuing education credit. Exams All participants in basic classroom training courses are required to complete and pass a 20-question exam with a minimum score of 75%. Students with a testing anxiety, learning disability or language barrier are encouraged to inform the instructor so that all efforts to ensure student success are made. Continuing Education Requirements Electrical Trainee card holders are required to complete Basic Classroom Training prior to renewing their trainee card every two years. Electrical trainees must complete 48 hours of Basic Trainee Classes to renew/activate their training certificate. Per WAC B-970 (4)(c)((ii)((D), all basic trainee courses must be classroom instruction only. No correspondence or internet classes are allowed. For additional questions on your Electrical Trainee license in Washington State, contact Labor & Industries Electrical Department at or online at Registration Deadlines CITC requires all students register prior to the class date - NO EXCEPTIONS. Students who attend class without prior registration will not receive continuing education credit. Registration is open until the day(s)/time(s) listed below or until the class has reached maximum enrollment. CITC encourages all students to register early in order to ensure a space in class. Continuing Education Requirements All Washington Electrical Journeyman, Electrical Administrator's or Master Electricians must complete 24 hours of continuing education prior to license renewal every three years.
