Brimming with beautiful melodies and youthful energy the story of Jo March, her sisters and their beloved Marmee plays out against the bleak backdrop of the Civil War. It is a heartwarming look at a group of sisters with very different personalities and values as they strive to keep the ties of family devotion alive. Along the way, their dreams are tempered and twisted but often realized in the most unexpected and uplifting ways. Director Craig Gibson, Musical Director Aaron J. Cassette and Choreographer Heather Smith are leading a talented cast featuring Civic veterans: Judy Aukes, Lucas Beachler, Janine Black, Emily F. Chateau, Joe Dely, Lou Irwin, Jr., Greg Laux, Michael P. Martin, Jesse Morrow and Lori Worden. Making their Civic debuts are: Alissa Britigan, Ashley L. Frost, Taylor Stevens, Kathie VanOrsdol, Alashar Waltz and Maddy Whitby. You won't want to miss this richly sentimental favorite. The warden tells the boys that they must dig holes five feet wide by five feet deep in order to build character. But Stanley soon realizes that this isn't the real reason they're being subjected to such treatment. The boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something, and Stanley will do his best to dig up the truth. Under the direction of Zac Thompson more than 40 students from around the area will bring this exciting story to life on stage. upcoming auditions For more information regarding show synopsis, auditions, volunteering or crew opportunities, visit or call In an empty theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is almost complete. For seventeen dancers, this audition is the chance of a lifetime. But before the final cut is made, the director asks each of them to talk about themselves. From funny to heartbreaking, these Broadway gypsies share the stories of their lives. They put themselves on the line to get a job on the line. His wit is as sharp as his sword, the enormity of his talent, intellect, and passion are matched only by the enormity of his, well, nose. When he falls for the beautiful, strong-willed Roxane, he is too ashamed of his large nose to share his feelings. Instead, when he learns that she loves the handsome but not-so-bright Christian, he writes poetry and love letters to Roxane on Christian's behalf. Complete with exciting swordplay and cavalier costumes, this fresh adaptation of the classic love story is cleverly told entirely in rhyme.
