Wednesday, June 4 8:00am-9:00am Volunteer Opening Session Welcome to Conference from the Volunteer Council Laura Hyde, president, Volunteer Council Welcome from the Seattle Symphony Volunteer Association Linda Stevens, past president, Seattle Symphony Volunteer Association How to Get the Most Out of Conference Volunteer Council members Elaine Cousins and Linda Weisbruch will share their top strategies for maximizing the Conference experience and answer volunteer delegate questions. 9:00am-9:15am 9:15am-11:15am Coffee Break Gold Book Awards of Excellence Five outstanding projects submitted to the Gold Book Online will be presented. Following each presentation, there will be an interactive session with discussion and questions and answers. Thursday, June 5 All-Conference Events 9:00am-10:15am 10:15am-11:00am 11:15am-12:30pm Electives Coffee Break Electives 12:30pm-1:45pm Elliot Bay, Lobby Level, South Tower 2:00pm-4:00pm Volunteer Hosted Luncheon with Peoria Symphony Guild s Puppet Troupe The Peoria Symphony Guild presents video and more about their troupe, founded in 1969, that continues to present puppet theater versions of Peter and the Wolf, Peer Gynt Suite, and Hansel and Gretel at area schools today. Learn about troupe logistics and the educational benefits for the students. Puppets and the educational materials distributed to schools in advance of the puppet show will be on display. Roundtables Fourteen outstanding projects will be presented in two fast-paced expo-style sessions. Presenters share information about these successful projects, with time for questions and answers from the delegates. The Volunteer Council will also present two Roundtables one focused on the League s many online resources available to volunteers, and one with an overview of Volunteer Council services and membership requirements. 4
