5 MORNING HAS BROKEN setting by William Ringham 3-4 Gentle arpeggios, enhanced by the LV technique, accompany the traditional Gaelic melody throughout the first verse. The following verses have more of a chord structure with contrasting eighth note motifs. 6 JOYFUL FANFARE Nancy A. Norman 5-6 This is a buoyant, lighthearted original composition with an appealing melody. It begins and ends in the key of C major. 8 A MIGHTY FORTRESS setting by Kathleen Wissinger 9-10 A refreshing setting of the venerable hymn tune, the opening phrases are stated with conviction enhanced by the judicious use of stopped techniques.
