6 Food and Nutrition Design and Technology Art & Textiles Students will begin to look at the five sections of the Eatwell Guide during a 10- week carousel with a seasonal focus: Theme: Eating Well Bench marking test Hygiene and Safety Eatwell Guide Introduction Fruit and Vegetables - Fruit Salad / Couscous Salad (Focus: knife safety) Fruit Cobbler (Focus: using the cooker) Proteins Chicken/Fish/Quorn/Halloumi Goujons (Focus: handling raw/cooked and avoiding cross contamination) Dairy and Alternatives Milk taste testing, Pizza Muffins (focus: using the grill) Starchy Carbohydrates Investigate cooking and sensory properties of a range of different products. 7 Drama Arts Box Ensemble Skills: Discussion: Two Acting: The Stories of Evaluation: Writing for Drama: Drama Skills: Mime Ghana Worlds Shakespeare Boal/Brecht Mr Holgado A nine- week workshop experience including Art, Dance, Drama and Music. During the course of the workshop, students will have practical, creative experiences within each subject working around a common theme. Students will work towards an Arts Award Bronze qualification. Theme: Total Arts - exploring how the four arts disciplines can approach a topic in different ways that complement each other and enrich understanding.
