1 Introducing Andy Gleadhill s Music CPD Training World Class Teacher Training for Music Specialists and Generalist Teachers
2 Introduction Andy Gleadhill is an internationally acknowledged expert in Music Education and Class Instrumental Teaching and his CPD training and hands-on workshops have inspired thousands of teachers and tens of thousands of pupils in the UK and all over the world. Andy s CPD Sessions can in most cases be delivered either as short introductory sessions lasting 40 minutes to an hour each, or as hands-on intensives lasting half a day or a full day. A typical CPD day could include 2 intensive sessions or alternatively, 3 x introductory sessions in the morning followed by an intensive session in the afternoon. Teacher training sessions can also be combined with class sessions for pupils and a combination of CPD training for staff and introductory sessions for pupils can be an excellent way to launch a new Class World Music programme (African Drumming, Samba, Gamelan etc) in a school or group of schools. Andy is a talented and expert multi-percussionist with a classical training, and a source of all knowledge for world music based on real and participant observer research techniques. Andy s skill as a trainer/deliverer of professional development is without doubt and the effect of his training is long-lasting, relevant and very useable with students of all ages in music classrooms where performance is at the heart of the pedagogy. B.Music Andy has a wealth of experience to share with any organisation/ school/ college/ university that values the depth and breadth that music has to offer and I can recommend him without any reservation whatsoever. Mary Edwards B.Mus (Hons) MA PGCE AST MISM, Director of Music King Edward s Junior School 2

Based on Andy s step-by-step teaching guides, these sessions will show you how to take a whole class of pupils from basics through to their first performance in just 10 weekly lessons. No prior experience or music training assumed. Thank you once again for your efforts in training our teachers. I believe all of them benefitted from you sharing your knowledge and expertise.
