1 Member guidelines CHAMPIONING RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS June 2018

2 These guidelines are designed to help our members and partners maximise their association with. They should be followed carefully to ensure our brand mark is used correctly. In doing so you will help build our reputation and awareness of our purpose: to put successful, responsible businesses at the heart of strong, healthy communities across the UK. 2 Member Guidelines

5 MEMBER LOGO Members can use our logo to show membership of. Member Guidelines 5

6 MEMBER LOGO SCALE We do not add a Member of or any other message to the logo. Clear space The clear space must be respected when using the logo. The clear space is equal to half the height of the logo. Minimum size The logo should not be less than 10mm in height. 1/2 X X 1/2 X >10mm 6 Member Guidelines

7 MEMBER LOGO COLOUR VARIANTS It is not always possible to apply the logo in full colour. To ensure the logo always looks its best, there are three variants. 1. Full colour For use on white/light coloured or dark contrasting backgrounds. This logo should be used wherever possible. 1. Full colour 2. Greyscale There are two greyscale variants available to use when colour printing is not possible. 3. Single colour The single colour black only version should be used when colour printing is not possible and the greyscale version is not suitable due to the printing process. The white out single colour version logo should be used when the background colour is not suitable for the full colour. Eg. When the colour is similar to one of the logo colours backgrounds. 2. 8 THINGS TO AVOID Some things that must be avoided are shown here. 1. Do not place the logo on a similar colour background to either the cyan or magenta elements Do not alter the colours or colour tints that make up the logo. 3. Do not add text to the logo. 4. Do not place the white logo on a light coloured background Do not distort the logo. 6. 10 APPLYING THE MEMBER LOGO 1. Always scale the BITC logo so it is visually smaller than your logo Never scale the BITC logo so that it appears bigger than your logo Member Guidelines

11 1. Always scale the logo so it is visually the same size as the logos it is sitting alongside Never scale the logo to match the height or width of other logos as it may appear either too small or large. 2 Member Guidelines 11

12 USING THE MEMBER LOGO Social media When using our member logo in social media please ensure the logo is not cropped or distorted. Always respect the clear space rules when applying the logo. Try to ensure the logo always has good legibility especially if you are placing it over an image 12 Member Guidelines
