7 P a g e 7 WALTERS RAMBOUILLETS DISPERSAL Dearest Rambouillet Family, I am sad and reluctant to write this letter. I am writing because it has become abundantly apparent that I must sell my flock. Over the last few years, it has become increasingly more difficult for me to care for them due to health issues. I will be bringing my show string for this current year to the ARSBA National Show and Sale. These are the best of what I have to offer for this year. Many of you can attest to the success you have had with adding sheep from my flock to your program. Over the years, I have focused on improving the wool quality of my flock. I have worked hard to find stud rams that are truly Rambouillet as I seek to keep my flock true to the breed. I have worked on keeping the structural correctness and complete sheep that are competitive in the show ring. After the numbers we saw last year from the micron testing, I am excited to bring great fleeces which are fine, consistent, and dense. The micron testing I have done over the years have yielded results from 18 to 22 microns on average. I also have brood ewes, stud rams, and other lambs for sale. I am able to make delivery at the Nationals if you desire. Photos can be provided upon request. Andy Edmondson has been managing the flock and is handling the details of the sales, so you may contact him directly. However, I also am happy to speak with you. Andy Edmondson Sheep00@Live.com Teresa (Teri) Terry Teterry@Live.com It was a hard decision to sell my Rambouillets. I started in 1989 with the purchase of one ram lamb from O.A. Wright and two ewe lambs from Bill and Susan Shultz at the Midwest Stud Ram Sale in Columbia, Missouri. A few years later, I purchased ewes from Kevin Patton and Alan Wilkinson, and a stud ram from Evergreen Heights. Later, I bought another stud ram from Dew Drop Farms. This foundation started my flock competing on a National level. I have had a National Champion Ewe and a Reserve National Champion Ram along with many class winners at the National Show and Sale through the years. I have worked to maintain a fine Rambouillet fleece as well as increase the size of the sheep. They have length, thickness and stand on correct feet and legs with adequate bone to travel the hills of my ranch. Most of the flock ewes lamb in the fall naturally. I am positive that you will be satisfied with the quality I have established. I plan to consign my best animals this summer at the National Show and Sale. If you have questions or would like more specific information please contact Andy Edmondson who has been working with and showing the flock for 8 years. Delivery can be made at the Nationals this summer. Bob Walters rlwalters1@gmail.com Andy Edmondson Sheep00@Live.com We look forward to seeing everyone in July at the National Rambouillet Show & Sale in Levelland.
