2 LOGO COLORWAYS The New Student & Family Programs logo is available in the following color options. The descriptions below define which print and web application each version should be used for. One Color, Carolina The One Color Carolina version is best for any print or web materials that have one-color restrictions. One Color, Black The One Color Black version should only be used when printing in black & white on white or light gray backgrounds. One Color, White Out The One Color White Out version should only be used on mid-ranged to dark colored backgrounds. Two Color, Carolina & Navy The Two Color Carolina & Navy version is best for print or web materials which use the official University and classic Carolina brand and color palette. It is recommended for family-friendly materials. Two Color, Carolina & Sunrise The Two Color Carolina & Sunrise version is best for print and web materials which use the UNC Student Affairs brand and color palette. It is recommended for student-friendly materials. NEW STUDENT & FAMILY PROGRAMS BRAND STYLE GUIDE 2
3 COLOR PALETTE The New Student & Family Programs brand coordinates with the UNC Student Affairs brand and official University brand and color palettes. The secondary and tertiary colors complement and add brightness to the overall color palette. Primary Colors Tertiary Colors CAROLINA SUNRISE PMS 542C HEX #59A3D PMS 137CP HEX #F0A41F NAVY PUMPKIN PMS 2767C HEX #1E PMS 7578C HEX #E26B2A Secondary Colors Text Colors LIME PMS 302-2C HEX #BED62F All colors from the palette can be used for headlines and callout text with the exception of Lime, which should be replaced with Pear. Black is the only acceptable color for body copy. EMERALD BLACK PMS 142-5C HEX #63C08C PMS Process Black C HEX # PEACOCK PEAR PMS 7698CP HEX #11728E PMS 303-1C HEX #9DC335 CLEAR SPACE & SIZING Clear space is the required white area around the logo to allow for margins, ensuring the logo is not obscured. Measurements The surrounding clear space equals to twice x 2x 2x the amount of space between the words and lines of the logo. 5 TYPOGRAPHY Archer and Brandon Grotesque are the primary and secondary fonts that should be used throughout New Student & Family Programs materials. Serifa is the logo font to be used for typing out the logo name on any print materials. Archer Aa Aa Aa Aa Light Book Regular Archer is the primary font to be used for headlines and all body copy. Brandon Grotesque Aa Aa Aa Aa Light Regular Medium Brandon Grotesque is the secondary font to be used for headlines in all or small caps as well as captions. Serifa New Student & Family Programs Aa Aa Light Serifa is the logo font to be used when typing out New Student & Family Programs. Examples This is a Large Headline This is a Large Subheadline Both fonts can be combined in headlines as long as Brandon Grotesque is set in all or small caps.
