1 Summer Assignments Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade students will be required to : Read at least TWO of the books from the Battle of the Books list Record at least five battle-style questions (you can do more!) on the attached question sheets. These questions will be used in the battles next year. (If you need more space, use a blank sheet of paper.) Battle of the Books Summer Reading BINGO Boards! Bring the completed BINGO board in and return them to your new teacher for , and receive a homework pass and a small prize from the library. Boards are attached and can be printed from the school website. You can do more than one board! Example questions: In which book did a family have a child that looked exactly like a mouse? In which book did a cricket perform in front of a crowd of New Yorkers?

6 Summer Ba le of the Books Reading Bingo Chart Fill out the chart to get a 4 in a row BINGO, across, down, corners, or diagonal! Read one Ba le of the Books novel and have 2 stop & jot post-it-notes Read a Ba le of the Books novel and write a summary! Read the back covers of all the Ba le Books and tell which one got you the most excited to read! Read a Ba le Book and write a poem about the book!
