4 Founded in 2009 Cinema Pacific film festival is a collaborative effort between the University of Oregon and the Eugene community. Administered by graduate students in the UO Arts and Administration Program, who work alongside undergraduate interns. Support by University Relations, Academic Affairs, School of Journalism and Communication, and Cinema Studies Program. CINEMA PACIFIC utilizes venues across campus and Eugene for a five-day festival of screenings, live multimedia performances, and art exhibitions. The festival features a wide selection of new film and media art from Pacific-bordering countries, including nations in America and Asia. Each year, the festival focuses in-depth on a particular national cinema. Guest artists and performers engage with audiences in post-film discussions to explore aesthetic and social issues, and developments in media production. Introduction 4
5 Glossary CMYK- a printing method using four colors to represent the entire spectrum Typeface- a set of characters with similar appearance and design Edge- the line where a document begins or ends Opacity- the quality or state of a body that makes it impervious to the rays Watermark- a semi-transparent imagines or words that can prevent others from forge your documents. Headline- a headline is the text indicating the nature of the article below it 5
6 The logo of cinema pacific film festival is a combination of theater chairs symbol and text of the organization s name. The numbers of the chair must be four, and the text should be appear in the lower right corner of the chairs image. The logo should be applied to every piece of external files, formal documents and printing material with no surrounding border. For small pieces, the logo may appear without the organization s name. Logo 6
7 Watermark The Cinema pacific watermark should be applied in every formal printing materials to prevent others faking the documents. The opacity of the watermark should always be 80% with a capital c and lower case of other letters. inma pacific 7

The turquoise green is approved for use in cinema pacific branding materials. For example, the watermark or the bottle line of the envelope and letterhead. Color 8
9 Typography The offical typeface for cinema pacific are Chalkduster, Microsoft Himalaya regular, Bangle MN Regular, and Bangle MN bold. The offical font for logo is Chalkduster. Chalkduster ABCDEFGHIJKLM- NOPQRSTUVWXYZ Abcdefghijklmnopqrstu- Microsoft Himalaya regular ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz Microsoft Himalaya regular should be used for body content in all documents. Bangle MN and Bangle MN bold may be used for headline, title or other accents. Front size will vary from piese to piese depending on the usage. 10 The cinema pacific business card is 2 by 3 ½ inch. The business card includes the logo, watermark, job title, contact information, and the website. The font should be Microsoft Himalaya regular.
