6 Activity Date & Cost ABT: Swan Lake 6/16/2016 Thursday 7:30pm Wicked "Behind the Emerald Curtain" Tour 6/18/16 Saturday 10:00am Bollywood Workshop 6/19/2016 Sunday 11:00am $50.00 $50.00 ABT: Romeo and Juliet 6/23/16 Thursday 7:30pm Lincoln Center Guided Tour 6/25/16 Saturday 1:30pm $35.00 Activities Description Of all the great classics performed by ABT today, Swan Lake remains the quintessential ballet, the one that defines the standards of the Company, tests its dancers and ennobles the spirit of the audience. This romantic fable of ill-fated passion, dreamlike transformation and ultimate forgiveness is set to Tchaikovsky s glorious score. With breathtaking choreography and visually magnificent sets evoking a Renaissance court, the fabled lake of the swans rises into view, inspiring awe for generations to come. Behind the Emerald Curtain is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at WICKED run by WICKED cast members. This event is great for die-hard Broadway fans and newcomers alike. Even if you haven t seen WICKED, you ll be fascinated by the details and complexities that go into a major Broadway production. Your guides will take you through the creative process of a Broadway show, giving first-hand accounts of the birth of a new musical. Participants take a guided tour through the exclusive Behind the Emerald Curtain Museum, which includes an elaborate set model by Tony Award winner Eugene Lee and an up-close look at some of Tony Award winner Susan Hilferty s costumes (with beautiful details that are not always visible from the audience), as well as actual props and wigs from the show. The Joffrey Ballet School and the Institute of Bollywood Dance and Film s founder, Rujuta Vaidya, are joining forces to launch a series of weekend Bollywood workshops. This workshop will teach Bollywood fusion dance through training in the essentials of Bollywood dance forms, Indian classical, folk, along with contemporary, hip-hop, and South Asian modern. Students will learn to integrate traditional technique of hand gestures, footwork, expression, body movement, and posture into their movement styles so they understand what is necessary to perform for Bollywood film and stage. Former ABT Dancer ALESSANDRA FERRI makes a grand return appearance in Kenneth MacMillan s masterful interpretation of Shakespeare s enduring romantic tragedy has become one of ABT s signature productions. Against a sumptuous setting in Renaissance Italy, MacMillan weaves a dance tapestry rich in character nuance and sensuality, and Sergei Prokofiev s instantly recognizable music underscores the lyric beauty and passion of this beloved ballet s star-crossed lovers. Whether you re just visiting New York City and want a glimpse of performing arts history, or you re a Lincoln Center regular who wants to see your favorite venues from a new perspective, a guided tour will bring you closer to the world s premier performing arts center. Tours typically visit up to 3 of our venues where a spectacular range of artists have performed, including Luciano Pavarotti, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Leonard Bernstein, and Renée Fleming. These venues are also home to our resident organizations, including the New York Philharmonic, New York City Ballet, Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center Theater, Chamber Music Society and more.

7 Joyce: RIOULT Dance 6/25/16 Saturday 8:00pm ABT: The Sleeping Beauty 6/30/16 Thursday 7:30pm Beast Speedboat 7/2/16 Saturday 1:00pm Chicago 7/2/16 Saturday 8:00pm Something Rotten! 7/7/16 Thursday 7:00pm $45.00 $80.00 $60.00 An established name in modern dance with a reputation for performing sensual, articulate, and exquisitely musical works, RIOULT Dance NY performs two programs. Women on the Edge, a profound and timeless anti-war statement, features the world premiere of Cassandra s Curse set to live music. The second program is distinguished by the New York City premiere of Polymorphous, a piece exploring the subjectivity of perception through movement and technology, and a suite of magnificent duets drawn from some of Pascal Rioult s finest works. The beloved story of the beautiful Princess Aurora, the evil sorceress Carabosse, and the awakening kiss of a handsome prince is certain to cast a spell on your heart and imagination in an all-new production, newly staged by Alexei Ratmansky and inspired by León Bakst s historic designs for Diaghilev s Ballets Russes. Hold onto your hats because for 30 fun-filled minutes the Beast leaves all others in its wake as the Captain takes this custom-built 70-foot offshore racing powerboat up to 45 mph on a ride down to the Statue of Liberty. A true New York City institution, Chicago has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one show-stopping-song after another; and the most astonishing dancing you ve ever seen. No wonder Chicago has been honored with six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy and thousands of standing ovations. There s always someone fabulous center stage. Whether you re looking for your first Broadway musical whether you ve seen the Academy Award -winning film and want to experience the show live on stage or whether you ve seen it before and want to recapture the magic, Chicago always delivers. Something Rotten! is Broadway s new, big fat hit!" (New York Post). From the director of Aladdin and the co-director of The Book of Mormon comes the "ingenious and irresistible" (Variety) story of Nick and Nigel Bottom, two brothers who are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rockstar known as The Bard". When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world s very first MUSICAL! With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, Something Rotten! is an irresistible ode to musicals and it's the one Broadway show that "will leave you screaming for more!" (New York Observer). Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial See Manhattan glow under a warm summer sunset from the top of the Freedom Tower! 7/9/16 Saturday Positioned on top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, on levels 100, 101, and 102 of the 1,776 foot tall One World Trade Center building, One World Observatory 8:00pm provides unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding $45.00 waters. This excursion also includes a brief visit to the 9/11 Memorial's twin reflecting pools, which are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.

8 Cats 7/14/16 Thursday 8:00pm Top of the Rock 7/16/16 Saturday 1:00pm $70.00 $45.00 Attend the very first performance of Broadway's newest revival of "Cats"! Ever since its first performance in May 1981, Cats has been enthralling audiences around the world and has become one of the most successful shows ever created. Based on T. S. Eliot s Old Possum s Book of Practical Cats, the show is set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground and is alive with feline characters, who ve come out to play on one special night of the year the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new life. Featuring music by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber, including the hit song Memory, and with thrilling new choreography by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton, In the Heights), this new production of Cats is a Broadway must-see. Soar 70 floors high and experience 3 viewing decks and the exhilarating joy of unobstructed 360º city views from Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. From the sweeping green of Central Park to the thrilling city skyline, nowhere else can you see New York so spectacularly. Harbor Lights Cruise 7/16/16 Saturday 7:00pm Nothing quite compares to a NYC sunset cruise! So grab some friends and enter the magical twilight scene of so many famous movies. Passengers will get the rare chance to see the New York skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty all lit up from a unique vantage point. With the breeze in your face and the NYC skyline shimmering before you, how could you possibly go wrong? It s a glorious hour and a half of sightseeing!
