ENGISH PV AT and PV BT Compat Mixers Congratulations on purhasing the Peavey PV AT or PV BT Compat Mixer. The PV AT and PV BT are studio-quality mixing onsoles designed to meet diverse needs while oupying a small spae. These are the perfet onsoles for small venue performanes or home reording environments. PV series mixers feature built-in DSP effets that are useful in real-world reording and sound reinforement, while parameter ontrols allow you to tailor eah effet to meet your needs. The PV BT inludes 4 hannels of referene-quality mi preamps, 4 diret outputs for reording, a stereo hannel, media hannel with Bluetooth wireless input, high quality digital effets with CD display, streag USB out, MP playbak via USB A input, Peavey's exlusive Kosmos audio enhanement, 48 volt phantom power, dual seletable ontrol room outputs, hannels of ompression, one hannel of on board seletable guitar preamp, -band EQ per hannel with bypass, hannel mute buttons, aux send, signal lip indiators, and a stereo master ED meter bridge. This amazingly versatile mixer is at home both in the studio as well as live appliations. Its modern features suh as Bluetooth allow seamless onnetion to almost any "smart" devie. 4 diret outs allow easy onnetion to most DAW interfaes for reording; in addition, the PV BT an stream audio diretly to a PC. MP playbak is also available, just plug a flash drive with MP files on it into the USB A port and use the CD to selet and playbak musi. The PV series Solo feature allows the user to listen to individual hannels via headphone or ontrol room outputs and the EQ bypass allows the user to ompare the EQ'd signal to the original signal with the push of a button. Channels of ompression keep signals with diffiult levels under ontrol, and Peavey's exlusive guitar-shape adjusts the EQ and preamp speifially for guitar. Hi pass filters on every hannel remove unwanted rumble and noise, and balaned and Master outputs ensure a lean noise free signal to your powered speakers or power amplifier. The all new PV series non-powered mixers represent the pinnale of performane and value. Combine Peavey's legendary reliability and our 5 year warranty and you an be assure of years of quality reliable servie, we guarantee it. In addition to all of these features, the PVAT features hannels of Antares world-famous Autotune, whih an be set to subtly tighten up voal harmonies, or it an be set for roboti voal effets heard in today's popular musi. Peavey's exlusive ustom key feature makes it a snap to auto-tune to any sale you an think of, in a live performane. 4 PVAT Front Panel (hannels and ) MIC/INE INPUT (CH.-8) This ombination input jak aepts a ¼ or X balaned plug. The X balaned input is optimized for a mirophone or other low impedane soure. The ¼ input is a TS balaned type, and also aepts ordinary TS guitar ables. DIECT OUT DIECT OUT PV A DIECT OUT 4 5 DIECT OUT This impedane-balaned TS output signal is taken after the mi preamp, hi pass filter, and ompressor, but before the EQ stage. AUTO-TUNE ACTIVATION BUTTON AND ED (PVAT only) Pressing this button ativates the PVAT's onboard AUTO-TUNE feature. The button illuates when in AUTO-TUNE mode (SEE Effets Selet {5} and the following page). The Input Gain ontrol is used to establish proper gain struture in the hannel. For best results, use the Solo system (9) to monitor the hannel while you set the gain. The goal is imum gain without distortion. Both the main ED meters (during Solo) and the hannel s Signal/Clip indiator (6,7) an be used for adjusting gain. If the lip ED (6) omes on and remains lit, try reduing the gain. 5 Hz FITE 7 DIECT OUT omp AT AT omp AT 4 5 6AT Auto-TUN Auto-TUNE 6 The hi pass filter has a orner frequeny of 5 Hz. When engaged it an improve larity by removing low frequenies that make a mix sound muddy. This feature is espeially useful when playing outside on a windy day or on a hollow-sounding noisy stage. These kinds of ambient noises an rob your sound system of power. Engaging this swith will remove those frequenies from the system and restore power where needed. COMPESSION CONTO (Channels and only) COMP COMP Adjusting this knob lokwise lowers the threshold of the ompressor, thereby inreasing the amount of ompression. The ompressor ratio is in the 4: range, varying with signal levels and the amount of ompression. This is useful for ontrolling peak levels from live soures, and has been designed to subtly tame the levels of live voals without notieable artifats. The ompressor is after the gain ontrol (5) and the hi pass filter (4), but before the diret out (), so it an be pathed to external equipment. Compressor ED low high MID-MOPH low high MID-MOPH low hig MID-MOPH EQ BYPASS EQ BYPASS EQ BYPASS 8 This ED illuates when the ompressor is atively ompressing a signal. Hi EQ This ative tone ontrol (shelving type: ±5 db) varies the level of the high frequeny range. 9 MID-MOPH EQ (CH. -7) Where most mid-range ontrols work at just one frequeny, the Mid-Morph works at two. When turned ounterlokwise, it uts at 5Hz to redue frequenies that muddy the sound. When turned lokwise, it boosts at 4kHz to add intelligibility to voals. Either way, improved voal or instrument definition an be ahieved. ow EQ This ative tone ontrol (shelving type: ±5 db) varies the level of the low frequeny range. Caution: Exessive low frequeny boost auses greater power onsumption and inreases the possibility of speaker damage. 6 7 left right left 4 right 5 left righ EQ BYPASS Engaging this button bypasses the equalization of the hannel, allowing you to easily hear the effet of the EQ settings. SEND This ontrol adjusts the level of the hannel signal sent to the Aux output. The signal is taken before the hannel level (8) but after the hannel EQ, meaning that hanges to the EQ settings will affet the aux mix, but hanges to the hannel level ontrol won't. Typial use for the Aux bus is to feed stage monitors, when used in a live performane, or to feed headphone amplifiers in a reording situation. 8 9 SOO SOO SOO m

PVAT Front Panel (hannels and ) SEND This ontrol adjusts the level of the hannel signal added to the effets mix. The signal is sent to the internal effets proessor. Turning the knob to the left () will turn off effets on the assoiated hannel, while turning the knob to the right will inrease the amount of the seleted effet. The effets send signal is taken after the hannel level (8) so that adjustments made to the fader will also affet the send level. CONTO This knob ontrols the plaement of the signal in the stereo field. When rotated ompletely ounterlokwise the signal is present only on the left hannel; when rotated ompletely lokwise only in the right hannel. This ontrol funtions as a balane ontrol to adjust the relative level of the left and right signals on stereo hannels 5/6 and 7/8. (Note /4" inputs on h 5-6 and 9- are mono unless both are onneted, then they swith to stereo) SWITCH Pressing this swith will silene the hannel signal going to the main mix, aux send, and effets. The mute swith will not affet the signal sent to the solo system. / ED This ED normally indiates that the hannel signal level is near lipping (distortion), but it also lights when mute is engaged. The lip indiator iruit monitors the signal after the gain ontrol, after the EQ, and after the main level; beause lipping an be aused by high settings of any of these ontrols. It illuates at +5 dbu with a stati signal (test tone), and orresponds to audible lipping with a highly dynami signal (i.e. piano). When lit, it warns that the gain or EQ boost should be redued. When it lights, roughly 5 db of headroom remains. An optimized setting of input gain + EQ will result in this ED flashing briefly on the loudest peaks. ED The signal ED lights when the hannel level reahes approximately - dbu. This not only indiates whih hannels are ative, but also serves as a i level meter. Beause its illuation varies with the signal soure, it is useful in identifying whih hannel is arrying a partiular soure. CHANNE CONTO This is the hannel's output ontrol, whih sets the signal level sent to the left and right mix and the effets send ontrol. The gain is db (unity gain) when set to the detent at mid-rotation (:). db of boost is available at the gain setting. Normal operation is to start with this knob at the detent, and set the input gain and EQ with the soure playing suh that normal levels are seen at the signal /lip ED's and the main meter array. As additional soures are added, it is normal to turn this knob down slightly to prevent overdriving the main mix bus. SOO SWITCH AND ED When the Solo swith is engaged, the yellow ED lights, as does the yellow Solo ED under the main / meter array in the master setion, indiating that the Solo system is now ative. The Solo system is a separate mix bus that routes the soloed hannel(s) at unity gain to the level meters for preise input level setting, and to the ontrol room monitor and headphone outputs for ritial listening to the seleted soure(s). When the Solo system is ative, the omplete mix will no longer be heard through the ontrol room or headphones; only the soloed hannel(s). 11 The display will now hange to the urrent Detune setting. Turn the Selet knob to hange the Detune setting. The Detune setting deteres how the Auto-Tune pith orretion is alibrated. When the Detune setting is ents, this means the Auto-Tune is alibrated to the standard A44, or where the note A4 equals 44 Hz. The range of the Detune setting is -64 to 6 ents, a width of 8 ents. The distane between two notes, or semitones, is ents, whih means that the Auto-Tune an be detuned to fit any possible environment. Note: Detuning the Auto-Tune an be very useful, espeially when being used in onjuntion with an instrument that is not easily tuned on-the-fly. For example, if a piano is aompanying Auto-Tuned voals and the piano is slightly out of tune from the A44 stan dard, simply hange the Detune setting in the Auto-Tune setting. This is muh easier and takes muh less time than having some one tune the entire piano! Also, although the Detune setting is hanged in the Auto-Tune preset edit mode, this is a global param eter. This means if you hange the Detune setting and then later hange the Auto-Tune preset, the Detune setting will not hange. One you have seleted the appropriate Detune setting, press the Selet knob to exit Auto-Tune preset edit mode. To restore all Auto- Tune presets bak to fatory settings, press and hold the Selet knob for 5 seonds and selet "Y" when prompted. Note: Preset 9 is hromati with speed set to 7. It is reommended for general purpose, safe, easy use of Autotune, without having to adjust any settings. 12 PVAT Front Panel DIGITA EFFECT/ME SOO MASTE ETUN TO MAIN ETUN TO STEEO SOO MONO (SUM) 57 E 59 MIC SOO MAIN + 5 MASTE CONTO KNOB Controls the overall level of the signal og out of the Aux Output (). This Auxiliary output is typially fed to a power amplifier to drive stage monitors so singers an hear themselves amidst amplified instruments, or to a headphone amplifier to give voalists a monitor feed that will not be piked up by mirophones while reording. 5 MASTE SOO BUTTON AND ED Allows you to listen to just the Auxiliary mix. The setting of the MASTE knob deteres the level you will hear when this button is pressed. 54 ETUN SOO BUTTON AND ED Allows you to listen to just the effets return. The setting of the eturn to Main knob deteres the level you will hear when this button is pressed. 55 ETUN TO CONTO KNOB This ontrol deteres the level of the internal digital effets proessor being sent to the Aux output. One possible use is to put reverb in the headphones of a voalist, to give them a onfidene boost for reording, without putting any reverb on the atual reorded trak. Or in a live situation, the same an be done by feeding a delay or reverb to the monitors. 56 ETUN TO MAIN This ontrol deteres the level of the internal digital effets proessor being sent to the main and outputs. 57 BUTTON AND ED/ ED When depressed, the output of the internal digital effets is shut off. Muting the effets is an easy way to detere what a partiular effet is doing to your mix. ED remains lit when is engaged. When is not engaged, this ED funtions as a lip indiator for the internal digital effets. If the digital effets are lipping, redue the level of the SEND pots.

PVAT Front Panel STEEO/MONO MODE SWITCH In the mono position, the left and right buses are summed together after the faders. In this position, the fader ontrols the level of the bus, and the fader ontrols the level of the bus, allowing you to use the and buses as groups. For example, all voals ould be panned and all instruments panned. Then the fader beomes the voal master level and the beomes the instruments master level. MIC BUTTON AND ED Depressing this button mutes all of the mi inputs hannels (-4) and the effets return. The media input hannels are still "live". This allows you to play break musi, while muting all of the mirophone inputs. MAIN FADES The Master Faders ontrol the levels sent to the Main eft/ight outputs (4, 5). Best results are obtained when these ontrols are set near the midpoint of the enlosed retangle. MAIN + METE AAY Displays the level of the and outputs, or, when solo is ative, displays the soloed hannel(s). The top green ED orresponds to an output level of +4dBu. The red ED is a lip warning indiator. The range of the meter is from -7 dbu to + 5 dbu. MAIN SOO ED ights when any solo button is pushed, to indiate that the solo system is ative.

PVAT Front Panel KOSMOS-C CONTO A very seletive high frequeny filter with a high Q. The effet varies with soure material, so some experimentation is required for optimum results. KOSMOS-C CONTO This Kosmos-C ow enhanement works by reating harmonis of signals in the bottom oave, where speakers are usually ineffetive. The harmonis are more easily reprodued, resulting in a pereption of stronger bass. The effet is soure dependent; obviously a soure with little energy in the bottom otave will not reate boog bass. KOSMOS-C ENABE Allows you to easily A/B the effets of your Kosmos Settings. HEADPHONE SOO/MAIN Controls the level of the headphones. The headphone is normally fed by the main outs, unless the solo system is ative. Always start with the headphone level at "" to avoid hearing damage. ENABE KOSMOS-C HEADPHONE/ SOO/MAIN SOO/MAIN

PVAT/PVBT POWE DIGITA AUDIO POT ON COMPUTE 67 DC POWE INET Use to onnet the inluded power supply. Be sure the power supply is onneted to the PV before onneting to a power soure. Use 5VDC, A adapter only. eplae only with Peavey part number POWE SWITCH This is the main power swith. 69 USB POT TYPE B The USB port is used to onnet the PV Series USB mixer to a omputer for reording or playing bak digital audio to/from your omputer. The USB port sends the mixer s main/tape stereo out to the omputer. The USB port reeives digital audio from the omputer; it an then be assigned through the seletor swith (7) to the main left/right output, if the omputer is being used for playbak only. For reording, use the USB TO CONTO OOM ontrol (47), to avoid reating a loop. Compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7, & Windows 8, Ma OS X. or later, and ios devies.
