1 Dear Principal and Teachers, We would like to invite you and your students to come and enjoy our next theatre performance Walkie Talkie at Tuen Mun Town Hall, on Tuesday 1 st May until Saturday 4 th May Founder and Artistic Director of Australia s Homunculus Theatre Company, Clint Bolster is invited as our Guest Director to direct and perform Walkie Talkie - an interactive performance and workshop in one, designed to demonstrate the essential conventions of traditional commedia dated as far back as the 16th century as well as comic and mask performance to the students of Hong Kong. This performance is one of its kind and should not be missed. We introduced this special performance to Hong Kong in March 2018 with a lot of positive feedbacks. The actors skillfully involve the audience, improvising and interacting throughout. The performance is comprised of separate yet interlinked routines that explore different characters and situations throughout the history of the theatre - looking at both the everyday and the absurd. The scenes build to a great celebration of life! The show s main message is one of play, fun and celebration. It promises to be exhilarating and mesmerizing for audiences of all ages. It is a great opportunity to study the importance of body language, a tool that each of us possess without recognising how much it plays a major part in our interaction with other people. This show highlights this hidden language that all of us share as well as developing an interest in the art of human behaviour and understanding that the most important tool we all need to get by in life is communication. Shakespeare4All (S4A) is a leading English Children s theatre company founded in 2003 with the purpose of building fluency and confidence through drama theatre and Shakespearean plays. It is our mission to inspire young people to aspire to excellence; offering a learning environment that is creative, original, and structured; which in turn draws out the potential in students to be the best they can be. From the beautiful to the bizarre, this show features a powerful and charismatic cast of internationally renowned performers clowns, bell routines, slapstick, comical routines, masked characters, musical chairs and more! Clint Bolster began his stage career in Queensland, Australia, where he was born and raised, but his reputation for extraordinary talent in relishing and inspiring audience across Australia and overseas for the past 15 years brought him the highest acclaim.
