Extreme Adjectives You may have experienced the situation in which normal adjectives like good or big or small were not quite the right word to describe something. Extreme adjectives offer you the possibility to express yourself more precisely. 1. Substitute very + adjective with a matching extreme adjective from the box. deafening intriguing stunning astonishing tiny hilarious huge blinding a) She is very attractive. Adjective Opposites It is quite easy to express the opposite by saying what something is not, e.g. not strong instead of weak. It is much easier though to know the correct opposite for an adjective. 2. Watch out! You use the conditional II to say what would happen if something else happened first. The chance of happening is possible but very unlikely. Each conditional sentence nce has got two parts: the if-clause fc (conditional onal clause) e.g. If I won the lottery, I would buy 100 pairs of shoes. the main clause She would go to the concert if she had the money. In conditional II you use past simple in the if-clause, e.g. If she came to my party, I would ask her for date. If she didn t come to my party, I would be upset. In conditional II you use would/could + infinitive in the main clause. e.g. I would invite you if I had a party. He could help you if he wanted to.
