We couldn t find space for Get Out last year but are delighted to launch this programme with this unmissable smart horror satire. Enjoy the Brits whose performances are awards-nominated: Daniel Kaluuya in Get Out, Gary Oldman in Darkest Hour, Daniel Day-Lewis in Phantom Thread and Sally Hawkins in The Shape of Water, as well as Ireland s Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird. And we don t want to be nationalistic Meryl Streep is superb in The Post, Christopher Plummer does a great job in his last-minute role in All the Money in the World, and we are excited to see Margot Robbie and Allison Janney in I, Tonya. Deciding to forgo burial at Arlington Cemetery, the trio take the casket on an impromptu journey to Doc s home town in New Hampshire. This comedy drama from Linklater (Boyhood, School of Rock) is both an enjoyably shambolic road movie and a meditation on the futility of war.
