2 White Sox vs. Cubs Bus Trip: $70 per person The annual IAA Chicago Cubs outing is set for Sunday September 23rd, The Cubs will be playing the Chicago White Sox at 1:10 pm Sunday afternoon. This year's trip will include a bus to Guaranteed Rate Field, $5 in Comiskey Cash good for anything at the park, and a game ticket. Tickets are located in the Upper Reserved section 516. All ticket requests can be made through the US Mail and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. A limit of 4 tickets per member will be enforced. If tickets remain after May 31st, the 4 ticket limit will be removed, and the available tickets will be sold on a first come basis. This musical features hit songs from the King himself as well as the legends who influenced his iconic music, with chart toppers including Blue Suede Shoes, Tutti Frutti, That s All Right Momma, Shake, Rattle, and Roll, and, of course, Heartbreak Hotel. Miracle on 34th Street on Saturday, November 17: Inspired by the beloved 1947 film. After Santa encounters a skeptical little girl during the season of sharing and caring, a message about the importance of believing is made clear to all. Comedy Night Friday, June 29, 2018 Join us for an evening of good food and comedy at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster on Friday, June 29. 4 2018 Scholarship Opportunity Only the children of IAA members are eligible. IAA is sponsoring a scholarship program to children and legal wards of IAA members. Your student can be either a high school senior (December 2017 graduates are eligible) or currently enrolled in a college or accredited school. You have until June 15, 2018, to apply for one of two $500 scholarships from the IAA. Criteria to apply for scholarship: 1. Must be either a high school senior who graduated in December, 2017 or graduating in May/June, 2018 or currently enrolled in a college or accredited school (includes beauty school) as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. Seniors must be enrolled for Fall, 2018 semester. 2. Student must be the child or legal ward of an IAA member. 3. You can apply for each student in your household but only one award will be permitted per family. 4. Student must have at least a 2.5 (C+) grade point average (most recent transcript of grades must accompany your entry form). 5. DEADLINE TO APPLY: June 15, We must be in receipt of the IAA 2018 Scholarship Entry Form, shown below, by June 15 (not postmarked by June 15). This is a one time scholarship. The winners of these awards will be selected randomly by a lottery system. Once we have received all the entries, and the most recent transcript of grades, we will review and verify all criteria have been met and then draw the names of the winners. The winners will be notified in early July The checks will be payable to the institution the student will be attending in Fall, Checks for graduating high school seniors will be issued at the end of the first semester after the student has completed one college semester with at least a C+ average. 5 Gary South Shore RailCats: Friday, August 17, 7:10 p.m. game Come out to the ballpark and cheer on the Gary Southshore RailCats as they play the San Francisco Canaries. The cost is $12 per ticket. This is a savings of almost 50% off full ticket price of $22 per person. Limit of 5 tickets per IAA Member. The park opens at 6:00 p.m., as does the picnic area.
