3 ENRICHING, ENGAGING, ENTERTAINING THE QUICK CENTER CONNECTS THE CLASSROOM TO THE STAGE The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts serves as a vibrant center of creative and educational activity, making accessible hundreds of enriching and enlivening events to Fairfield University and its surrounding communities. In so doing, the QCA is a leader in presenting, producing and partnering arts and education activities that make a positive difference in the lives of students, staff, faculty, and our friends across the region. The Fall 2014 Quick Center Curricular Connections Guide (CCG) links events taking place as part of the Quick Center fall season with Fairfield University courses. Included are particular events we feel are of direct relevance to courses being offered on campus in the fall semester. However we believe that our wide array of programming enhances every student and faculty member s experience on our campus by bringing diverse perspectives and voices that enrich our lives through more well-rounded experiences. Please note that some of our activities also relate to the University Theme Water. MAKE A CONNECTION In many cases we offer additional programming with an artist including pre- and post-show discussions, workshops, masterclasses, and in-classroom discussions. Use the Quick Center as a tool to enrich your students experiences by encouraging their attendance at a CCG-related event in connection with what they are already learning in the classroom. If you would like to schedule an additional educational opportunity for your class, contact Lori Jones, Assistant Director, Programming and Audience Development at ext or by at ljones@fairfield.edu. In addition, if you have a particular interest in an event happening this year and feel you could offer your expertise through a lecture or workshop in conjunction to the event, please let us know by contacting Lori Jones. TICKETS The Quick Center Box Office is conveniently located in the lobby of the Quick Center and is open Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm. (Please note, hours are subject to change so please call in advance at ) Full-time faculty receive free tickets to many of our events and adjunct faculty are eligible for discounted tickets. Student tickets are just $5 for most events and can be purchased in advance using their Stag ID. Group Sales - You can hold a block of tickets for purchase by your class by ing the Quick Center Box Office at boxoffice@quickcenter.com. Subject to availability and some restrictions. 3
