A ten-time Tony Award nominee, The Full Monty is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. While spying on their wives at a "Girls' Night Out," a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo sees how much they enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they're stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to "let it go."

2 The Full Monty is a story full of heart. Right to the end, audiences will be wondering if these lovable misfits will really pull it off. With a raucous mix of razor-sharp humor and toe-tapping pizzazz, this heartwarming, upbeat comedy is a must for any theatre looking for a big hit. JERRY LUKOWSKI: An unemployed mill worker, fighting to maintain his pride and the custody of his only son. All-American jock and the definitive man's man. Spontaneous. Very prideful. Age: 30 to 40. He s 12 years old going on forty but young-looking for his age. Non-singing. DAVE BUKATINSKY: Jerry's best friend and fellow unemployed mill worker. Entire production originally directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins Speculated by many (including NY Times critic Ben Brantley) to be the greatest of all American musicals, Gypsy tells the story of the dreams and efforts of one hungry, powerhouse of a woman to get her two daughters into show business. Gypsy is loosely based on the 1957 memoir of famous striptease artist Gypsy Rose Lee, entitled Gypsy: Memoirs of America s Most Celebrated Stripper. The memoir and the musical focus on the story of Gypsy Rose Lee s mother, Rose, and earned Rose a place in the theatrical and literary canon as the quintessential, archetypal Stage Mother. The musical features songs that have become standards of the musical theatre canon, including Some People, Let Me Entertain You, Rose s Turn, and the showstopping, Everything s Coming Up Roses. Gypsy is famous for helping launch lyricist Stephen Sondheim s career, and features a book by Arthur Laurents that is widely considered to be one of the classic examples of a traditional book musical. At the heart of the musical is the gregarious Rose, whose journey made critic Frank Rich call Gypsy, Broadway s own brassy, unlikely answer to King Lear. ROSE: The Mother. Rose is the ultimate "stage mother", aggressive and domineering, pushing her children to perform. Vocal range: low F to C. BABY JUNE: Rose's baby daughter. An extroverted, talented child star.
