Of late keen interest has been shown by people in this phenomenon. Thousands of clubs and societies of bird watchers have mushroomed in the west, keeping a watch on bird movements and trying to solve the mysteries surrounding their migration. In developed countries, such as Britain, Germany, Japan, the USA and Sweden one can see a number of people of all age group, pensioners to school-going children, moving about meadows, forests and parks, on river banks and sea-shores with cameras and notebooks, jotting down the names, sizes, colours and food habits of different birds. The best way to know a bird is to flick through the pages of an authentic book written by some renowned authors such as Salim Ali. Birds are generally shy and do not like human intrusion in their territory. The best way to enjoy bird watching is through binocular. Questions: 1. is the aim of bird watchers. 2. I shall wag mine to show that I am pleased, barked the Dog. That s the last thing I would do, mewed the Cat who could never agree with the Dog. I shall wag mine when I am angry. I shall swing from branch to branch with mine, chattered the Monkey. The Peacock strutted about saying, I shall spread mine out to display its bright colours. I shall bob up mine like a little white flag to show when danger is near, the Rabbit cried out. I shall use mine as an extra leg to help me jump, said the Kangaroo hopping and leaping. I shall use mine to keep my back warm in wintertime, chattered the squirrel. I shall steer myself through the water with my tail, said the Fish. The poor little Tadpole was the only
2 animal who did not know what to do with its tiny tail. When I become a frog, I shall not need it at all, it croaked softly. I shall get rid of it as soon as I grow up.
