He won irst lace at the merican Guild o Organists National Cometition in Organ Imrovisation (200), and irst lace at the International Organ Imrovisation Cometition hosted by the Royal Canadian College o Organists (200). With over 20 sacred works ublished in the last ive years, Luke continues to write both sacred and secular music noted or its engaging harmony, inventive orms, and crossgenre aeal. Mr. Mayernik is an ssociate o the merican Guild o Organists and is currently Director o Music and Organist or t. nne arish in Castle hannon. Mr. Mayernik is also the coounding/artistic director o Ovrerts, Inc., ittsburgh s newest nonroit erormance ensemble. Luke was honored by the Royal cademy o Music in lit, Croatia with the bronze medal (2011) and gold medal (2012) in Music Comosition at the 15th and 16th nnual International acred Music estival and Comosition Cometition. He also continues to teach comosition, theory and harmony to students o all ages, both rivately and within the academic setting.
