Brian Schultz and ACT s Young People s Theatre did a fantastic job and the comments from the community have been overwhelmingly positive. I want to thank them again for their time and talents. We are pleased to bring the music of Gene Pitney, Roy Orbinson and Linda Ronstadt to the Capitol Theatre stage in an original Colleen Raye production, That ll Be the Day. We know you have enjoyed Colleen s previous productions and hope you ll be just as enthusiastic about That ll Be the Day. Be sure to share it with your friends. This talented crew perform nightly through Saturday at 7:30 pm and also do a matinee Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Thanks for coming. The next production of the ACT season will be NSU s production of Pride and Prejudice (see below). Please join us for this classic story. We are happy to have NSU again be a part of the events here at the Capitol Theatre as the Johnson Fine Arts Center continues renovations. Production dates are April If you haven t heard, ACT s summer musical will be Hairspray. The show is set against the backdrop of plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad s dance dreams and youth race relations in Baltimore in 1962, and therefore we are looking for some black, and other minority, actors to be a part of the production here at the Capitol. We are looking forward to doing this funtastic musical, but we will need the help of the entire community. Auditions are scheduled for 6 pm, Sunday, April 17 and 7pm, Monday, April 18 here on the Capitol Theatre stage. Production dates are tentatively scheduled for June I hope you ll consider being on stage, but if not, we ll see you as a part of the audience in June. If you are not aware, ACT, through its Capitol Cinema programing is doing film nightly in the new digital theater, which we are calling Theatre B. Films start each night at 7pm and we anticipate running film 364 days a year. But that will all depend on you. Please consider the new stadium style seating in Capitol Theatre B for your future movie excursions, and we allow popcorn and pop in the new digital theatre. All Capitol Cinema concessions are available by donation. So, come check it out. If you are not already an ACT subscriber, join today. See the back page of this program. 8 CAST & CREW WAYNE LUCHAU grew up in the small Midwestern town of Ada, Minnesota. While attending Minnesota State University-Moorhead he passed the audition to be on The Ted Mack talent show, which had a weekly viewing audience of fifteen million. He appeared on the nationally televised show three times, once from New York, once from Chicago and once from Los Angeles. After that success Wayne has had numerous other achievements, including providing vocals on a Jacqueline Smith movie and an ABC After School Special. After a successful career in teaching and business he has returned to his first love, singing. Wayne is the embodiment of the 50 s and 60 s era of music and his shows pay tribute to those artists that were the impetus to his music career. During the show he literally seems to channel the spirt of Elvis, Roy Orbison, Gene Pitney and many other fabulous vocalists from that great era. As a testament to his wonderful talent he was inducted into The North Dakota Rock and Country Hall of Fame in COLLEEN RAYE brings her exuberance, talent and creativity the show by not only conceiving the concept but also researching and building the show. Colleen hails from Ellsworth, WI but has traveled and performed extensively across the country in several different shows, most of her own creation, from Las Vegas to Atlantic City and Puerto Rico to Hawaii. Starting her professional career at the young age of 15, Raye has the experience and polish you would expect from a longtime professional performer. Under Colleen Raye Productions she currently has eight different active shows, including four Girl Singer shows, An Evening At The Cabaret, and Sinatra and Company. To find out more about Colleen see DEBBIE O KEEFE is a resident of Hudson, WI. As a 13-year-old she had the opportunity to travel with her sister, Colleen, performing at various venues throughout the United States. Debbie also appears in other Collen Raye Productions shows including The Girl Singers of The Hit Parade, The Sirens of The 60s, The Girl Singers Christmas Show and Broadway s Best. Debbie is a guest soloist with The Sheldon Brass Band in Red Wing, MN and The Century Big Band in St. Paul, MN. She is the female vocalist for the Minnesota Jazz Orchestra and sings with Tim Patrick s Blue Eyes Band. To find out more about Debbie check BEN BALDRIDGE (guitar) began singing and playing the guitar age 9, inspired by his parent s love of music. He also plays bass, drums and piano and enjoys his job as a music instructor in the Twin Cities. Ben graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York with a BM in Guitar Performance. He performs as a classical guitar soloist at many special events and has worked in duos with several musicians. Ben has sang, played guitar and bass with several bands in the Twin Cities area and has been featured on 5 albums of original music. He was grateful to work with The Shadows Band Tribute and A Hard Day s Night. Ben enjoys music from many genres, from Bach to Jazz to The Beatles. ANDY OLSEN (bass) has had lots of fun as a musician in Minnesota and Nashville. He has played with local and national bands in a variety of venues, from local VFW s to two tours in Europe. He worked for several years at Lee s Liquor Bar in Minneapolis with country band, Trailer Trash. As a youth he played with the founding member of punk band, The Replacements. He has been the replacement bassist for Minnesota based bluegrass band, Stoney Lonesome. His first gig with them was on the live radio show, A Prairie Home Companion, followed by a six week tour of Germany. He has backed up artists such as blues guitarist Roy Buchanan, New Orleans pianist Doctor John, Hank Williams s grandson Hank III, Sherwin Linton, Jett Williams, Robert Gordon, Rosie Flores. Along with singer Wayne Luchau, Andy also backed up the great Tiny Tim! JASON MCGLONE (drums) is a Twin Cities drummer, producer, and recording engineer. In 2007, he moved from the soul city of Detroit, MI to study music at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. There he graduated Cum Laude with a BM in percussion performance (2010) and a BS in music production (2011). Jason made a name for himself playing in the recording studio. After connecting with local ad agencies, he recorded dozens of radio and television spots for Dunkin Donuts, Pepsi, Target and The Onion News Network. He also began touring regionally with The Shadows Band, Wayne Luchau, Richie Lee, The Fontanelles and Stacy K. Currently, Jason runs his own business (North Noise) creating custom drum loops and drum samples. He has also produced and engineered artists such as Michael Baker (Whitney Houston), Tim Stewart (Lady Gaga), Adi Yeshaya (Prince, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston), Chuck Lazarus (MN Orchestra), Tommy Barbarella (Prince and the New Power Generation, Stevie Wonder, The Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot) and hundreds of other local and national acts at The Hideaway Studio and The Terrarium Studio. Jason proudly endorses Detroit Custom Drum Co. drums. JESSE MUELLER (keyboards) is a composer, arranger and accompanist who has been referred to as The Keyboardist Extraordinaire. His unique talents in jazz, R&B, rock and blues blend nicely into any genre including hip hop, country, nostalgia and world music. This native Twin Citian performs with at least 10 bands and solo acts in any one month. His popularity as a sideman has made him well known in the music community and with audiences in the Upper Midwest where he tours extensively. Recently he has returned from Switzerland where he performed extended shows with veteran R&B/soul singer, Willie Walker, at the Lucerne Blues Festival. 8 ABERDEEN COMMUNITY THEATRE

It is a member of the Aberdeen Area Arts Council, South Dakotans for the Arts, Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, American Association of Community Theatre. THEATER INFORMATION BOX OFFICE ACT s box office prior to a show s opening is Riddle s Jewelry in the Aberdeen Mall. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m and Sunday, 12-6 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in person at Riddle s Jewelry or by mail to ACT. The Capitol Box office is also open one hour prior to performances. Tickets can also be purchased online at AberdeenCommunityTheatre.com. PERFORMANCES ACT maintains a firm policy of not canceling any performance due to weather. We urge all ticket holders to make every effort to attend. In the event that travel proves impossible at performance time, ticket holders may inquire at ACT s office the next business day. ACT will make alternative arrangements, excluding refund, when possible. ACCESSIBILITY Wheelchair seating arrangements should be made by informing ACT at the time of ticket purchase. ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES The Capitol Theatre is now equipped with a Hearing Loop system, which transmits sound to hearing aids with T-coils.
