1 ABERDEEN COMMUNITY THEATRE SEASON AUGUST 8-12 WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY, 7:30 PM SUNDAY, 2:30 PM ABERDEENCOMMUNITYTHEATRE.COM

2 FROM THE ARTISTIC/MANAGING DIRECTOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS Warren Redmond, President Curt Wischmeier, Vice-President Ann Rasmussen, Treasurer Kathy Stuck, Secretary MEMBERS AT LARGE Linda Bartholomew, Barb Evans, Vicki Lust and Linda Peterson Rory King, Legal Counsel STAFF James L. Walker, Artistic/Managing Director Brian T. Schultz, Associate Artistic/Managing Director Gary Darling, Marketing Director/Office Manager Steven Huber, Box Office Manager Barry Jaked, Technical Director Charlotte Grandpre, Nate Wilson, Technical Assistants ACT is a proud member of the American Association of Community Theatre info@aact.org Interested in acting or directing but don t have a lot of time? Have a great script you d love to see on stage? Contact ACT at (605) or ACT@NVC.net Support is provided with funds from the State of South Dakota through the Department of Tourism and State Development and the National Endowment for the Arts Office of Arts 800 Governors Drive Pierre, SD In State DONALD H. HALL, Co-Founder of ACT Honoree of ACT s Donald H. Hall Scholarship, assisting ACT volunteers attending NSU. For more information or to contribute to this scholarship endowment fund, contact ACT at (605) Welcome to the Bingo Parlor! Thanks for coming. By now you have received your Bingo card and are ready to play each of the three audience participation games of Bingo throughout the production tonight. Get ready to yell Bingo! Although in the play we use paper Bingo card and daubers, we are using cards with sliders to make it easier with the limited room for the audience. There are actual cash prizes for two of the audience games and a special door prize for the third. Everyone received one Bingo card when they were seated, as part of your admission. You can double your chance of winning by purchasing another Bingo card for $3.00 each, or 2 for $5, if you are a couple, but there is a strict limit of two cards per person, due to the limited space to play. So, if you don t win the first game, you have two additional chances. If you would prefer not to play, that s fine, maybe you d like to give your card to your neighbor and increase their chances of winning, or simply return your card to an usher. You will use the same Bingo card(s) for each audience games tonight. All proceeds from Bingo card purchases go to the LED lighting retrofit of the Capitol Theatre. Although we hope you have fun playing Bingo, the games are not the most important part of the show. It is all about relationships and the stresses that little things can put on our relationships. I will be the first to admit this production is no Pulitzer Prize-winning play, like Wit, or have the serious overtones of Jesus Christ Superstar, earlier this season, but I hope each of you have a good time with this small but fun cast of musical characters. Don t forget to stop by between live theater productions and take in a movie at Capitol Cinema. We have a film screening every night in Theatre B at 7 p.m. Check out CapitolCinema.net for up-to-date information on what s showing any night. Once again, thank you for your support. Please use the back page of the program to contribute to Aberdeen Community Theatre s new LED lighting retrofit of the Capitol Theatre facility. Our goal is to raise $116,000 to change the entire Capitol Marquee, which is in process, as well as every lamp and light fixture in the facility. It will make a huge difference in ongoing operating expenses in the historic Capitol Theatre. I hope you are having a great summer, it is going by so quickly. Watch for upcoming productions as well as the South Dakota Film Festival, September Visit SouthDakotaFilmFest.org or on Facebook for more information. Be a part of this year s screenings of some terrific films as a part of South Dakota Film Festival As always, let us know what you think, and I hope you are one of the lucky winners tonight. Thanks again for coming. 2

8 CAST & CREW JASON BARKMEIER (Sam/Frank) is excited to be appearing in another ACT production right on the heels of playing King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar. He says two shows in one summer? Challenge accepted! It s kind of nice to be playing a good guy for once. He is delighted to share the stage with his lovely wife and sweetheart, Jennifer. They have one daughter, Eden. Jason has three sons; Dylan, Kobe and Lucas who live in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Jason works for Consolidated Communications as a network operations center technician. HEATHER DARLING (Bernice) When not working at Avera, Heather enjoys spending time with her loving husband, three children and two dogs. Though this is not her ACT debut, she has enjoyed being able to meet new actors in this production and make new friends through ACT. AYSIA EGGENA (Patsy) graduated high school this year and plans on going and getting her bachelor s degree in social work. When not on stage, you can find her working at Journey Kids Daycare. Aysia loves acting and you may have seen her as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Jr. and as a part of the women s ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar. She hopes you enjoy this super show and wants to thank you for supporting your community theater. CHRISTINA FISCHER (Minnie) When Christina was younger, whenever they would have company, the kids would insist on putting on a show for the adults. This was always her idea. She is grateful for having a larger pool of people to pester nowadays. She commutes from Redfield, where she is primarily a writer. LORI HARMEL (Vern) A veteran of ACT, Lori was last seen as Connie Harland in Exit Laughing. She also portrayed Mavis Busk in ACT s AACTFest entry, Mavis Pleads the Fourth where she received an Outstanding Lead Actress Award at the Regional Festival in Brainerd, MN.
