1 NOVEMBER editor: Terri Clements NOVEMBER ALREADY?!? where has this year gone. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE. May your day be a happy one and Blessed beyond measure. It is a day of Thanksgiving, NOT TURKEY DAY, OR FOOTBALL DAY... Our founding fathers came from England at great danger and sacrifice to get to this new land. Many lost their lives on the long treacherous journey. They were met with a primitive hostile land and had to immediately build shelters and find food for survival. If it had not been for friendly Indians, they would not have ever survived the harsh winter. They taught them how to plant corn and other vegetables and hunt for food. You know we take so much for granted in this land of plenty and never give thought to God who has blessed this land so much. LET US BE THANKFUL!! Time is flying by to get those holiday projects finished. Many art and craft shows are on the agenda and are a good place to sell your products. People are looking for the unusual and different gifts so get creative and make something to catch their attention. UNDER THE BIG TOP ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA. APRIL SAME PRICES PRICING - It has been decided that we will keep the same prices as last year for lodging, included are 3 full meals per day. Epworth facility HAS CHANGED PRICES QUITE A BIT HIGHER THIS YEAR, but we have kept the same price for the last 4 years, and the REGION PAYS FOR THE DIFFERENCE, NOT YOU. It is $90 per day, PER PERSON for doubles, and $128 for Singles, per person. This also includes all those nasty taxes added to the bill. WHAT A BARGAIN. With our FULL schedules, we just paint, go eat and back to classes. No hassle or bother with meal times. Those not staying at the facility may bring lunches, go out to lunch, or pay for meals ordered at Epworth. Our committee is working on our spring meeting and brochures will be available soon.
