9 PREPARATION IMPORTANT: D nt apply pressure t the screen display area which may cmprmise the integrity f the display. The manufacturer's warranty des nt cver user abuse r imprper installatins. ATTACHING THE STAND IMPORTANT: The stand f the TV must be assembled prir t usage. 1. Place TV unit face dwn n a sft and flat surface (blanket, fam, clth, etc.) t prevent any damage t the TV. 2. Fix the stand t the bttm f the TV with the fur B4x16F mm screws. "' ~., B4x16mm (4pcs) PREPARING YOUR LCD TV FOR WALL MOUNTING We suggest that yu keep yur TV at least 2.36 inches (60 mm) frm the wall t prevent cable interference. Befre munting yur TV n the wall, yu need t remve the stand. Fr yur safety, please use nly with a UL listed wall munt bracket with minimum weight f the 1V withut stand. (Please see page 1 8 fr the weight f the TV.) T attach a wall munt bracket t yur TV: 1. Remve the screws hlding yur TV t the stand. 2. Remve the stand frm yur TV. 3. Secure the wall munt bracket t the back f yur 1V using fur screws (see page 18 fr the size f the screws). 13 INITIAL SETUP The first time yu turn n yur TV, the setup wizard will guide yu thrugh setting up basic settings including the menu language, time zne, and TV signal surce. 1. Press <!) t turn n the TV. The setup wizard screen pens. Press OK t start the wizard. 2. Press J;J'f t select Hme Mde r Stre Mde, then press ~ t cntinue. Nte: Hme mde is energy saving mde, stre mde is vivid mde. Air - Set the signal type t antenna. When set t Air, the TV can receive analg and digital (ATSC) bradcasting signals. Cable - Set the signal type t cable. When set t Cable, the TV can receive analg and QAM bradcasting signals. 6. The aut channel scan usually takes a few minutes t cmplete but can take up t 20 minutes. Yu can cancel the channel scan by pressing EXIT. 3. Picture settings such as brightness, cntrast, and clr are manually adjusted.
