INTRODUCTION PROFILE LP cnnects directly t yur cmputer t turn yur treasured vinyl recrdings int digital music. We have included several sftware packages t aid yu in cnverting yur vinyl recrdings. Yu shuld install ne f the fllwing applicatins t take advantage f cmputer recrding: EZ Vinyl/Tape Cnverter (PC nly) is the quickest and easiest way t turn yur recrdings int digital media. EZ Vinyl/Tape Cnverter cnveniently saves yur recrdings in yur itunes* library. Nvice users may find this applicatin preferable. We have included a handy Sftware Quickstart Guide with step-by-step instructins n sftware installatin and peratin. EZ Audi Cnverter (Mac nly) is a basic cnverter applicatin fr Mac OS X and is ideal fr nvice users. Please refer t the included Sftware Quickstart Guide fr step-by-step instructins n sftware installatin and peratin. T install the sftware: simply insert the included CD int yur cmputer and fllw the n-screen instructins. After yu finish cnverting yur vinyl, yu can then burn t CD r lad nt prtable media devices. * itunes and ipd are trademarks f Apple, Inc., registered in the U.S.A. and ther cuntries. REAR PANEL FEATURES Pwer Cable: This pwer cable shuld be plugged int a wall receptacle AFTER all audi cnnectins are made. 2. RCA Audi Output Cables: These cables shuld be plugged int the audi inputs f yur hme stere system. (Please nte: yu can still cpy recrds t yur ipd r cmputer, even if the audi utputs f the turntable are nt cnnected t a stere system). IMPORTANT WARNING: The RCA cables are LINE level. Please nly cnnect these cables t LINE level inputs. Yu may damage yur receiver if yu plug in a LINE level int a PHONO input. 3. USB Audi Output: Use the included USB Cable t cnnect yur turntable t yur cmputer. The USB cnnectin will prvide audi frm the turntable and stere input t yur cmputer. Fr transferring yur vinyl recrds t yur cmputer, we have prvided tw different sftware packages n the included CD. EZ Vinyl/Tape Cnverter (PC) and EZ Audi Cnverter (Mac) are the easiest and quickest ways t transfer yur vinyl recrds and shuld be used if yu are a beginner. 2

3 GENERAL CONTROLS Platter: This platter must be securely fastened t the turntable prir t peratin. The Mtr Drive Belt can be fund n the drive ring underneath the platter RPM Adapter Hlder: Hlds the included 45 RPM adapter. When nt using the adapter, please place it in this hlder. 6. Stp Buttn: This buttn stps the turntable mtr / 45 RPM Buttn: This buttn cntrls the RPM f the turntable platter. 8. Arm Clip: This specially designed arm clip secures the tne arm while at rest r when nt in use. The arm clip has been designed t remain in the up psitin while unlcked. 9. Raise / Lwer Lever Raises and lwers the tnearm. IMPORTANT Make sure that the slipmat is always placed n tp f the platter while using the turntable. Failure t use the slipmat may cause damage t yur media as well as damage t the turntable. Remve the plastic cartridge cver (needle cver) befre perating the turntable. 3

4 TROUBLESHOOTING Refer t the fllwing trubleshting scenaris if yu experience difficulty recrding yur vinyl t yur cmputer. PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION I am nt hearing any audi when I am recrding. I am experiencing pr sund quality. When recrding int my cmputer n Windws Vista, my recrdings are mn instead f stere. My music is playing at a strange pitch. Needle is nt n the recrd. Turntable nt pwered. RCA utputs nt cnnected t speaker system. Cartridge cnnectin is nt secure. Vinyl recrd is dirty r scratched. Recrding input prperties in Vista nt set t stere. Incrrect speed selected n the turntable. Place the needle n the recrd. Make sure that the turntable is cnnected t a live pwer utlet and that it is pwered n. Make sure yu have cnnected the turntable s RCA utputs t a speaker system and that the speaker system is pwered n. Cartridge must be securely cnnected t the tnearm whenever yu are using the turntable. Try dusting ff and gently wiping the surface f the recrd befre playing it. In Vista, yu may need t manually specify stere fr the recrding input. G t Start Cntrl Panel Sund (in Classic View). Then, click n the Recrding tab and highlight the Micrphne input (USB Audi Cdec). Click n Prperties t bring up the input settings. Next, click n the Advanced tab and select 2 channel, 16 bit, Hz (CD quality) in the Default Frmat pull-dwn menu. Lastly, click Apply t accept the settings. Make sure that yu are playing yur recrds at the speed they were intended t be played. Select between the tw different speeds by pressing 33RPM r 45RPM.
