2 Specialty Applicatio Photoelectric Sesors 2 SMARTEYE STEALTH-UV The SMARTEYE STEALTH-UV Lumiescece Sesor The SMARTEYE STEALTH-UV sesor is a special purpose sesor desiged to detect the presece of ivisible fluorescet materials cotaied i or added to chalks, iks, pait, greases, glue, or optical brighteers foud i labels, paper, tape, strig, etc. The sesor cotais a ultraviolet (UV) solid state light source that is used to excite the lumiescet materials to fluoresce i the visible rage. The sesor s detector the respods to the visible fluorescig light. Whe the received fluorescig light level (displayed o the Cotrast Idicator) reaches a level of 4 or above, the NPN ad PNP output trasistors will switch to the opposite state. The SMARTEYE STEALTH-UV sesor is useful for a umber of applicatios icludig high speed, ivisible, registratio mark sesig. May clear bags ad labels are maufactured with the highest level of cosmetic sesitivity, makig the use of a stadard colored registratio marks udesirable. Havig the high speed, highly accurate sesor available for this applicatio esures customer satisfactio ad the highest productio lie speeds. The ability for the SMARTEYE STEALTH-UV sesor to be used with stadard glass fiber optic light guides is a very cost effective way of gettig the sesor ito tight mechaical positios, or caustic ad harsh eviromets that would be harmful for stadard lesed sesors. Not havig to use extremely high cost "special" fiber optic light guides for UV detectio offers a solutio that is very reasoable compared to the competitio.
