Performane Suggestions Your hymn arrangement is designed to e very flexile aommodatg many different struments. Along ith the standard rass quartet/qutet and timpani parts you ill also fd parts ritten for duet and/or trio struments. The Duet parts are terhangeale eteen different struments so that if you have a trumpet, alto sax and tromone (or any other omation), eah strument may use its on part, and you an have them alternate eteen 1 st, 2 nd and desant parts. You may ant to use parts for the first verse, solo or unison melody ith different struments on various middle verses, and then parts ith desant on the fal verse. It s your hoie dependg on your needs and the ailities of your musiians. The rass arrangement ill ork as a trio, quartet, qutet, large rass hoir or even a and of mixed rass, d and strg struments. All the parts are marked ith doulgs and sustitutions, and performane suggestions are listed on the ottom of the page. You may ant to eg the hymn ith a rass trodution either the entire verse, or a portion of it then have them play ith the ongregation for the 1 st verse; the seond verse an e aompanied y piano/organ alone (and guitars if you have them); for the third verse you may ant to feature a solo strument ith piano/organ, and then rg the entire ensemle along ith desant for the fal verse.
