Andrea and Todd played me some great music by our members. I m stoked! Andrea s heading off to New York for label meetings and taking some of the stuff I heard at today s meeting with her. We DO that! I know, I know we don t promise that as part of the service, but we DO it. We do everything we can to get you guys signed. That s our job. We don t always tell the members who get schlepped to Nashville by me, taken to meetings in LA by Andrea, Todd or me, or played in NYC by whoever is going there. We don t want to get the members excited because we know the odds are still long. But I remember every once in a great while that I should communicate these things to you more often. Did you know that when Andrea sends s to her plethora of music industry buddies and contacts, that she frequently includes an MP3 of a member or two with the ? We ve had deals happen because of those little extras. We all do those sorts of things that we can t really talk about in our brochure or on the website because we can t do it for every member. I m going to New York in a few weeks. I ve made a new friend who is connected to a dear old friend of mine. The new friend is hyper connected with all the music people at the top advertising agencies on Madison Avenue. He s going to parade me up and down Manhattan like a show dog, making sure that all of his advertising buddies know that TAXI is the closest thing they ll find to custom music better than production music libraries when they need something original and to spec. Our members who belong to TAXI Dispatch are going to see some pretty incredible opportunities coming their way by summer. I m sure you ll see listings in the regular TAXI Industry Listings as well, but having done audio post for Madison Avenue s finest back in the day, my recollection is that they often need stuff in a hurry. Actually, it s often hurry up and wait ; ) Anyway I was just thinking about you guys and wanted to keep you in the loop. There s so much cool stuff on the horizon here that I m bursting at the seams wanting to tell you. The more pragmatic side of me knows I should wait until we re ready to roll it out to blow the horn.
