3 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE MAL SILVA At our last session Silicon Gulch Jazz Band led by Dave Kawamoto gave us an afternoon of some very good music for our listening and dancing pleasure. A special thanks to Jim Rouse for all his time keeping our Website up and running at no expense to SBTJS. We all appreciate it. At this time I would like to welcome Kendric Smith our new Website Manager and our new Chief Financial Officer, Jon Schermer. Thank you both. Having these two added to our Board of Directors is a wonderful thing. We need help with our South Bay Beat. Ann Burgess who has been our Editor for years has resigned. Thank you, Ann; you will be much missed. We need a replacement as soon as possible. See any of the Board Members for more information. Our next session, June 23, will feature the Rich Owens Thrown Together Jazz Band. Hope to see you all there. It is a joy the band has brought, cause this music is just like gold. I do remember what s been played, since the memories captured my heart. As the day and night appears, it s magic from the start. This is a sound on solid ground, we hope will never go wrong. This Dixieland sound I think is divine, like the sound of an angel s song. Now is when our dreams are found, cause time had much to say. So with love and music around, it s a joy to hear them play. This makes love in the heart to glow, from the songs that we often crave. And as this music fills the soul, then the heart has a treasure to save. 10 % discount Jest show your SBTJS card costume ( ) 822 E.
