1 Trinity User Guide The Trinity Conference Room has the capability to provide the following meeting services: Audio + Video Conferencing - IP based video conferencing is available utilizing the Crestron touch panel control and two 60" Plasma TVs. Users will need to know the IP address of the site they wish to call. Audio only conferencing - The audio only conferencing feature is available via the Crestron touch panel and utilizing the room's existing sound system and built in microphones. Presentations via PC or MAC - Software generated slides can be displayed on the dual plasmas simultaneously or on just one screen. The conference room table has embedded power and VGA connections for your laptop. DVD Playback - A high-end DVD player is located in the credenza and can be controlled via the touch panel located on the conference table. The DVD player is integrated into the room's existing sound system. Mac mini Integration - A miniature Mac with wireless keyboard and mouse that can be utilized by Macintosh users for presentations and Ichat Video.

2 How do I use the individual features of the room? Detailed directions for use of each feature are available below. Audio + Video Conferencing 1) Turn on the Crestron control panel by simply touching the screen to activate it. 2) Select the Plasma tab to turn on the power to the two screens. There is an on and off button displayed for each screen in the lower left side. When the screens are on, the buttons will turn yellow and look as if they have been pushed in. 3) While on the touch panel's plasma screen, select the source of the video that you want to transmit. Typically it is video conference button. Ensure the room image shows up on both screens.

3 4) Select the Video Conf tab on the touch panel. A keypad should be displayed on the left hand side of the screen. Press the green Connect button on the middle right side of the screen. Using the keypad, enter the IP address of the site you wish to. Use the asterisk button as the decimal. After pressing the asterisk the 3rd time it will turn into a decimal. Press Connect. The distant end image should show up on the left hand display and your local image should stay on the right display 5) During the conference you may control such things as camera position, volume, microphone muting, and additional inputs from the touch screen. Microphone mute to enable and disable the microphone, press the Privacy button at the top right of the screen. Volume Control to adjust the volume, use the up / down arrows on the bottom right side of the screen labeled Codec. Additional inputs to send an additional input to the distant end other than your local video, select the corresponding button from the bottom of the screen. Credenza Laptop is the Mac mini located in the equipment rack inside the Credenza. Laptop 1 is the PC VGA input located at the head of the table VCR is the VCR located in the equipment rack. It will send the current TV signal that is being broadcast when a tape is not inserted. DVD is the DVD player located in the equipment rack Front Camera will send your local video.

4 Camera Position - You may control the position of the camera by pressing the camera preview tab at the bottom of the screen. There are 6 preconfigured camera settings as follows: 1. Close up of the head of the table 2. Wide angle view of the head of the table 3. Wide angle view of the right side of table 4. Wide angle view of the left side of table 5. Close up of the whiteboard on right side of room. 6. Close up of Duke Trinity Crest / Shield Video Playback via VCR or DVD Player 1) 1) Turn on the Crestron control panel by simply touching the screen to activate it. 2) Select the Plasma tab to turn on the power to the two screens. There is an on and off button displayed for each screen in the lower left side. When the screens are on, the buttons will turn yellow and look as if they have been pushed in.

5 3) While on the touch panel's plasma screen, select the source of the video that you want to transmit. Select VCR for VHS tape playback or cable TV. Select DVD for movie playback or a presentation recorded to DVD. Audio Only Conferencing 1) Turn on the Crestron control panel by simply touching the screen to activate it. 2) Press the Phone conference Tab at the bottom of the screen. 3) Using the onscreen keypad, dial the number the same as you would from your desk phone. Remember to press 9 first for an outside line. Press the green call button. Follow the on screen instructions for mute features and general instructions. You can control the volume by using the up / down arrows on the right side of the screen labeled Phone. 4) The microphones are built into the table and the audio will be heard thru the rooms overhead speaker system.

6 Presentations via PC or Mac 1) Turn on the Crestron control panel by simply touching the screen to activate it. 2) Select the Plasma tab to turn on the power to the two screens. There is an on and off button displayed for each screen in the lower left side. When the screens are on, the buttons will turn yellow and look as if they have been pushed in. 3) While on the touch panel's plasma screen, select Laptop 1 if your notebook is connected to the VGA input embedded in the table. Toggle your notebook display until it shows up on the Plasma screens.

7 Mac Mini Integration 1) Turn on the Crestron control panel by simply touching the screen to activate it. 2) Select the Plasma tab to turn on the power to the two screens. There is an on and off button displayed for each screen in the lower left side. When the screens are on, the buttons will turn yellow and look as if they have been pushed in. 3) While on the touch panel's plasma screen, select Credenza Laptop.

8 4) Bring the wireless keyboard and mouse from the credenza to the table. Activate the keyboard and mouse by sliding the switches on the bottom until the lights come on. 5) The Mac Mini desktop should appear on the screen for use. 6) To turn on Mac mini camera, rotate lens until green light appears.

9 **** Please remember to turn off the Crestron control panel by pressing the Power button in the upper right hand corner of the display. ****
