6 REMOTE OVERVIEW ATIONS ON / OFF TEMPERATURE/ TIME ADJUSTMENT FAN SPEED DISPLAY UNIT MODE ADJUSTMENT TEMP SWING Operatig Your Air Coditioer: Your Split Air Coditioer ca be coveietly operated usig the itelliget cordless remote cotrol. 1.Switch o the MCB. Press ON/OFF butto o remote hadset to switch ON the AC. The "RUN" light o Idoor uit will glow ON. Your AC switches o with parameters that were set before power wasswitched off. The uit receives the sigal with "BEEP" toe ad your AC starts operatio. Time Delay: To protect the compressor, a time delay is icorporated i the circuit. The Time Delay esures that the compressor switches ON oly after a delay of about 3 miutes. 2. By Pressig the MODE" butto each time you ca select either Auto, Cool, Dry, Fa or Heat Mode. CLOCK SETTING TIMER ON BLOW TURBO TIMER OFF DISPLAY ON /OFF SLEEP 3. Press the "FAN butto to set the fa speed. Each press chages the fa speed from Low-Med.- High-Auto Fa speed. 7 ATIONS ATIONS Your split AC operates i oe of four modes, COOL-DRY-FAN-AUTO. The modes butto cyclically chooses betwee the four operatig modes. The COOL mode: I the cool mode, the compressor is i operatio ad your AC fuctios i the stadard operatig mode, coolig your room to the desired set temp. 1. Press "MODE" butto to cyclically step through the COOL, FAN, DRY & AUTO modes ad stop whe cool mode is selected. 2. Cool mode symbol ca be see o the LCD pael whe you select the cool mode. I this mode, you ca chage the temp. settigs by pressig "+" ad "- temp. buttos. You ca chage the fa speed settig by pressig FAN butto. 3. If the Room temp. is more tha the set temp., the the compressor & outdoor FAN will remai ON ad perform the Coolig operatio. If the room temp. achieves the temp. less tha set temp., the the Compressor & Outdoor FAN will remai OFF. The DRY Mode: I the DRY mode, your AC reduces the humidity withi the room faster. 1. Press "MODE" butto to cyclically step through the COOL, FAN, DRY & AUTO modes ad stop whe DRY mode is selected. 2. DRY mode symbol ca be see o the LCD pael whe you select the DRY mode. 3. Idoor FAN will ru at low speed. 4. Temperature ca be chaged. The FAN Mode: 1. Press "MODE" butto to cyclically step through the COOL, FAN, DRY & AUTO modes ad stop whe FAN mode is selected. 2. LIGHT Operatio: You ca ON/OFF the LED DISPLAY o idoor uit by press LIGHT butto o remote cotrol. CLOCK Settig: Press the CLOCK butto o remote to set the real time clock, clock time will blik o remote display. Press + or - keys to set the desired time. press agai after settig to cofirm the chage. TIMER Operatio: You ca program your split AC to switch itself ON or OFF at particular time. Maximum set time is 24 hrs, with 1 mi icremet. ON TIMER: Whe the AC is "OFF" (i stadby), press "TIMER ON" Butto o remote to use this feature as the ON TIMER. (make sure that MCB switch is "ON The "TIMER ON" symbol see o the remote display. For EXAMPLE: Suppose you wat to switch ON the AC at 08:00. Press "TIMER ON" butto, whe AC is i OFF coditio. Press + or - buttos to set 08:00 to switch o AC. Press agai TIMER ON after settig the time to cofirm Timer ON. Display o Remote will show "TIMER ON. TIMER OFF FUNCTION: Whe the AC is "ON", press "TIMER OFF" Butto o remote to use this feature as the OFF TIMER. The "TIMER OFF" symbol see o the remote display. For EXAMPLE: AUTO Suppose you wat to switch OFF the AC after 08:30. Press "TIMER OFF" butto, whe AC is i ON coditio. TIMER ON 6 7

CANCEL TIMER: If you wat to cacel the Timer what you set before. Press oce "TIMER ON or TIMER OFF" buttos, ad it will cacel the Timer. The "TIMER OFF or TIMER ON" display o LCD Pael of remote will goes OFF. BLOW ATION: TIMER OFF To set o BLOW Operatio, Press BLOW butto o the remote cotroller. BLOW is operatioal, whe you tur off the machie the idoor fa will cotiue to ru for a few miutes before switchig off. The purpose is to esure that the evaporator is at the same temperature as the idoor temperature. TURBO ATION: To switch o the turbo operatio press TURBO butto o the remote cotroller. I TURBO mode the uit will ru at the maximum coolig with highest Fa Speed. Whe pressig the MODE or FAN butto, this fuctio will be caceled. CHILD LOCK Fuctio: Press + ad - keys o the remote cotroller simultaeously to lock or u-lock the keypad. Whe the key pad is locked the lock ico will be displayed o the remote cotroller LCD. SLEEP Operatio: Press "SLEEP" butto o remote to switch o sleep operatio. I "SLEEP" mode your air coditioer icreases the temperature O by 1 C for every hour that it operates, O After 2 hours ad after the icrease i set temp. by 2 C your AC maitais the same temp. at that level without further icrease. Uder Fa ad Auto modes, sleep fuctio is ot available. To cacel the Sleep mode, press agai the Sleep butto. TEMP Fuctio: Press oce TEMP butto, will show o remote display ad set temp. will be show o uit display. Press agai will show o remote display ad uit will show room temp. for 5 sec ad agai set temp will be displayed o idoor. Press agai will show o remote display ad set temp. o uit display. Next press, uit will be out of TEMP operatio. Air Flow directio Adjustmet: Your split AC has oscillatig louvers for uiform coolig aroud your room. You ca stop the oscillatio if you so desire. Up/Dow Air Directio Adjustmet: 1. Press "SWING" butto to set swig agle, which circularly Chages as defied below: OFF Note: This remote cotroller is uiversal. If it receives three kid of followig status, the swig will remai origial. Left/Right Air Directio Adjustmet: Move maually, the left right air louver at desired positio as show i followig figure. Emergecy Operatio Switch: I case the batteries i the remote are wor out, or remote is faulty or missig, use Emergecy operatio switch (AUTO) to ON/OFF AC. Every time the switch is pressed, it chages i sequece of COOL ad STOP. O I Emergecy operatio mode the set temperature will be 25 C, Fa speed will be Auto ad Up/Dow Air louvers are i swigig mode. To access emergecy switch, ope the grill as show i the figure. 8 9

9 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION Locatig the idoor ad outdoor uits properly will help optimise the performace of your aircoditioer. While your Oida / Dealer's Techicia will be happy to guide you o the best locatio for your aircoditioer, here are a few helpful hits. Locatig the Idoor Uit Locate the IDU for the best cool air circulatio. Preferably, there should be o obstructios earby, as show i the adjacet figure. Locatig the Outdoor Uit The outdoor uit houses the compressor, codeser fa ad electrical compoets. The heat removed from the room is expelled to the atmosphere through the outdoor uit. Oce agai, the Oida / dealer's Techicia will esure optimal istallatio of the ODU for you. However, the followig iformatio will be of iterest to you. The Outdoor Uit ca be mouted o a wall, sushade or skirtig. Do ot locate the uit directly opposite a door which is opeed frequetly. The cold air will go out of the room each time the door is opeed, as show i the adjacet figure. Ideally, the ODU should ot be too far a w a y f r o m t h e I D U ; t h e recommeded distaces are marked i the adjacet figure. All idoor uits will form codesate water. Please esure that the codesate ca be draied out of the room to a toilet / patry, etc. The istallatio egieer will make sure that a "U" bed is provided i the drai to prevet isects from comig ito the room through the drai tube, as show i the adjacet figure. Esure that air ca pass freely through the uit. Please allow at least 2 meters free space o the air outlet side, ad 0.3 meters o the air ilet side. If more tha oe ODU is to be istalled, they must be properly separated, so that the warm air from the outlet of oe does ot eter the ilet of the other

10 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION INSTALLATION SKETCH Avoid log ad complicated routig betwee the IDU ad ODU, as show i the three adjacet figures. If mouted o a wall, please esure that the wall is thick eough ad that the frame is supported adequately. It is advisable to discuss the same with the egieer before decidig upo the locatio of the uit. The dimesios of the space ecessary for correct istallatio of the appliace icludig the miimum permissible distaces to adjacet structures If the ODU is to be located o a high ledge, adequate space must be provided for the service egieer to service the uit. It is a good idea to provide a catwalk (a platform) aroud the uit ad access door / widow to the Uit. 11 INSTALLATION INSTALLATION INDOOR UNIT Istallatio of idoor uit 1. Fitmet of moutig plate The moutig plate should be fitted o the structural part of wall o which idoor uit is to be istalled. 2. 12 INSTALLATION TAKE CARE OF YOUR AIR CONDITIONER Discharge the air of the uits: It ca used as vaccum pump. Remove screw cap of closig valve ad gas chargig hole; Ope the closig valve with Alle wrech(tur 90 clockwise), the push the gas hole for about 10 secods, (Whe a gas like fog appears, it idicates that the air of uit has bee discharged) put back the screw cap of gas chargig hole. Do the leak test with leak detector or soap water. Add refrigerat If the coectig pipe is loger tha 7 meters, add refrigerat as eeded. Add amout A= (Lm-7m) 15g/m. (A: add refrigerat amout, L: the legth of coectig pipe) the legth of coectig pipe (m) add amout (g) Add refrigerat with the sprig balace, as specified above. MIRC ELECTRONICS LTD, WARRANTS THIS ONIDA AIR CONDITIONER[(except the frot grill, kobs, remote uit ad add-o plastic parts) TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER TO BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE AS PROVIDED IN THE WARRANTY REGISTERATION CARD. WARRANTY FOR COMPRESSOR: MIRC ELCTRONICS LTD, HEREAFTER WARRANTS TO THE PURCHASER OF THIS ONIDA AIR CONDITIONER THAT FOR A PERIOD OF SIXTY MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF INVOICE. The AC is desiged to operate at a rage (230V +/- 10%). Ay failure due to operatio of the machie beyod these limits will ot be covered by the above warraty. Customer shall esure that a stabilizer is istalled i those areas where voltage is ot available withi the warraty rage (230V +/- 10%). The stabilizer should be of ay reputed maufacturer, tested ad recommeded by the Compay. 11. The purchaser should preserve the origial ivoice for ecessary verificatio ad produce, as ad whe required. 12. Warraty ull ad void if: i. Ay damage is caused by improper electrical circuit outside the uit or by ay defective electrical supply v. At ay time, durig the warraty period if ay part of the uit is tampered with, altered, repaired or serviced by ay uauthorized perso, ot beig the authorized represetative of the compay or its authorized dealers vi.
