When pssible, d nt place the instrument clse t units which generate strng interference, such as radis, TVs, cmputer vides, etc. D nt place the rgan clse t heat surces, in damp r dusty places r in the vicinity f strng magnetic fields. D nt expse the instrument t direct sunlight. Never insert freign bdies inside the instrument r pur liquids f any kind int it. Fr cleaning, use nly a sft brush r cmpressed air; never use detergents, slvents r alchl. Always use gd quality screened cables fr cnnectin t amplificatin r diffusin systems. When discnnecting cables frm sckets, always take hld f the cnnectr and nt the cable itself; when winding cables, d nt knt r twist them. Befre making the cnnectins ensure that the ther units (especially amplificatin and diffusin systems) yu are abut t cnnect are switched ff. This will prevent nisy r even dangerus signal peaks. Cnnect the net cable t an earthed scket. Check that the vltage crrespnds t the vltage shwn n the serial number plate f the rgan. 6 User Guide 2. INTRODUCTION Dear Custmer, Thank yu fr chsing the rgan Viscunt Unic. The Cmpany, a wrld leader in the cnstructin f fine classical rgans, has installed in this instrument the latest and mst sphisticated technlgy dedicated t the high fidelity reprductin f pipe rgan sunds, with impressive flexibility and remakable quality f timbre. After years f research explring musical synthesis techniques, ur Research and Develpment unit, is the FIRST in the wrld t create the sunds f a pipe rgan by using the physical mdeling technlgy upn which the Physis is based. Instead f using sund samples frm pipe rgans (previusly the standard methd) this revlutinary sund generatin system invlves the real-time calculatin f the wavefrm generated by a precise mathematical mdel based n the sund emissin physics f a pipe rgan, incrprating the principal physical parameters ie. cnstructin gemetry, materials used, and pertaining air pressure, etc. The fact that the simple reprductin f memrized sund has been disregarded, permits the achievement f unimaginable realism, with the level f detail previusly nly created by a traditinal pipe rgan. Fr example, the mathematical mdel allws the prductin f a different sund fr each key since it prvides the virtual reprductin f the riginal instrument by assigning a different pipe t each nte, similar t a pipe rgan. Furthermre, it will generate a different sund fr each cnsecutive pressure f the same nte, thus simulating the precise cnditin f the air vlume inside the pipe as it is pressed. The Unic als permits the physical editing f the sunds prduced, by adjusting the parameters - just as the rgan builder cnstructs the pipes. If hwever, editing is nt yur frte, yu may chse yur sund frm a big library f pre-prgrammed pipe rgan vices already in the instrument s memry. T cnclude we suggest that yu visit ur web-sites and where yu will find infrmatin, updates, dcuments and news abut ur unique range f instruments. 4

21 User Guide 9.1 SETTING THE ROUTING OF THE VOICES ON THE REAR AUDIO OUTPUTS (EXT. OUT ROUTER functin) One f the Unic series rgans key features is the capability fr simulating the psitin f the wind-chests and the arrangement f the pipes inside them, fr every stp. This is achieved by setting the ruting f the audi signals, i.e. the way in which they are distributed, n the rear utputs. Fr each stp, the system is able t set an utput cnfiguratin which reflects the layut f the pipes in real wind-chests, as fllws: - single r duble cusp - duble wing - left r right wing - mn - alternate keys Mrever, each f these layuts can be further specified with regard t the width f the wind-chest and its lcatin in space, defined by the number f utputs used. T access the rear audi utput setting vide page, select the EXT. OUT ROUTER field in the SET-UP menu: this displays the screen fr selectin f the sectin which cntains the stp t be set up, which has t be chsen frm the list f the stps in the sectin: Here again, there is the ptin f displaying the set-up screen directly by hlding ut the draw-stp r hlding dwn the rcker tab fr a few mments in the vice n psitin with the cursr n the EXT. OUT ROUTER field in the SET-UP menu, r in the functin itself. The LED f the stp being set up will flash t prevent mdificatin errrs; the stp will be n and can be played fr better, quicker adjustment. The value is set as [utput number-psitin between tw utputs], bearing in mind that there are fur psitins between ne utput and the next ( n the display). A value f 40 means that the end f the range (FROM r TO) is n utput [4]; a value f 82 means that the FROM r TO pint is between utput [8] and [9], clse t [8] since it is in the first fifth f the area between utput [8] and utput [9]. The screen previsly shwn refers t a peaked wind-chest placed between utput [1] and a psitin between utputs [4] and [5]. [psitin indicatr]: it cnsists f small rectangles lcated abve the drawing f the wind-chest and indicates that the zne is displaying the part belw the ttal number f utputs.

89 Guida Utente 9.1 CANALIZZAZIONE DELLE VOCI SULLE USCITE AUDIO POSTERIORI (funzine EXT.

9.2 CONFIGURAZIONE DELLE USCITE AUDIO POSTERIORI (funzine EXT.
