New functins and features in detail: XYZ Stage View XYZ Fllw Mde has been added. Activating thee fllw mdee will temprarily deactivate all ther stage view mdes (Select, Orbit, Panningg and Zm) until the fllw mde is disabled. Tuching the stage vieww with activated fllw mde will mve the beams f the currently selected fixtures with enabled XYZ t this psitin if pssible. Virtual XYZ Attributes can be added t any fixture using physical pan/tilt attributes by pressing the new "+XYZ" buttn at the fixturee type editr. Pressing the "-XYZ" buttn at the fixture type editr will remve the virtual XYZ attributes f the edited fixture type. This will als remve any XYZ values stred fr fixtures using this fixture type frm yur shw. XYZ Encder Reslutin Nrmal = 0.1m, fine=0.01m, ultra=0.001m. The fllwing virtual attributes are added, when adding XYZ supprt t a fixture. PsMd: Mde Attribute t switch between Pan/Tilt and XYZ Mde. T be able t calibrate, please mark and measure the crner pints (A,B,C,D) f a rectangle at the stage. Theree are tw mdes f enteringg the psitinss f the pints A,B,C and D at the calibratin dialgue. Abslute Mde: Please Select fixture(s) and enter the t crdinates f pint A (X,Y,Z) and the crrect distances t the pints B and D. Free Mde: Select fixtures and enter the crrect crdinates f pint A (X,Y,Z), B (X,Y,Z), C (X,Y,Z). Fcus each fixture t psitin A using pan and tilt attributes. Select all fixtures again a and press the Stre buttn fllwedd by the sft buttn A. The psitin f the current selectin will be stred fr pint A. Repeat steps 3 and 4 fr pints B, C and D. Select all fixtures again a and press the sft buttn Calibrate. The physical psitins f all selected fixtures are calibrated nw. It is pssible that each individual fixture can be calibrated within a separatee physical rectangle. A'(*)' means that the parameters f the rectangles are nt equal acrss current selectin. CITP/MSEX 1..0 CITP/ /MSEX is a netwrk cmmunicatin prtcl designed fr cmmunicatin between lighting cnsles and Media servers r visualizers. This first implementatin includes thumbnail exchange between third party media servers and grandma2 cnsles. The CITP cnfiguratin can be fund at /Setup/Netwrk/CITPP Netwrk Cnfiguratin. The CITP Enabled buttn in the upper right crner f this dialgue is a glbal switch t enable/disable CITP sessin wide. Theree are 4 tabs inside this dialgue, Lighting cnsles, Media Servers, Visualizers and Operatin Hubs. Lighting cnsles tab: When pressing add present buttn at thee lighting cnsle tab, any lighting cnsle c with enabled CITP will be listed here (fr infrmatin purpses nly). 5 Media Servers tab: At the Media Server Tab, Mediaa Server can be manually added using the add buttn, r autmatically when using the add present buttn. If the rw f a media serverr is red, the media server is nt present at the current netwrk, r the CITP functinality f the media m server has been switched ff. If a rw f a media server is displayed green, media server is present at the current netwrk. At fixture layer clumn, grandma2 fixturee layer cntaining media server fixtures has t be chsen. If the library and the image subattribute f the media server is nt autmatically recgnized crrectly, the user can changee them manually by editing the referring grid cell. After pressing the buttnn update thumbnails, the thumbnails ff the vide r image cntentt will be cpiedd frm the media server t wheels inside the fixturetype f the first fixture f the chsen fixture layer. Attribute mde dependencies and channelsets f the chsen library and a image attribute f the fixturetype f the first fixture f the chsen layer will be updated. Depending n the number f received thumbnails and the speed f yur y netwrk, this may take sme time. A prgress bar at the CITP cmmand cell f the respective media server rw is displayed until thee transmissinn is finished. Visualizers tab: fr future use. Operatin hubs: fr future use. Timecde imprvements New clck view mdes: SMPTE Timecde and Midi Time Cde. Incming Timecde signals may be displayed using these new clck mdes. Receiving valid Timecde signal iss displayed by green text clr while the text clr is greyy as lng as n valid Timecde signal is received. The Timecde Editr Cursr psitin is nt allwed t be negative anymre. The current time marker stays in centre f timeline while playback r recrd at the Timecde Editr and Timecde Viewer. The number f selected events iss shwn in the label f encder 4 "Turn t mve n events" at the Timecde editr encder bar. Thee new buttn "clear selectin" deselects all currently selected Timecde events. Timecde shw: There is ne time cursr per Timecde shww in a netwrk k sessin. The selectin s f Timecde events and the fcus f Timecde tracks is per user prfile in a netwrk sessin. Encder 3 f Timecde bar is nww als available in the Timecde view. Events will nly be fcused and nt selected because Timecde view is read nly. As lng as fllw time t is active in the time cde editr r viewer, in graphic mde, the last triggered event f the currently selected track/subtrack is autmatically selected/fcused during playback. In Text mde, the last triggered event f all currently visible tracks/subtracks is autmatically selected/fcused during playback. If Timecdee sync is set t intern, the Timecde shw playback is paused as snn as an event is mved usingg encder 4. "Cpy and paste has been implemented in the Timecde editr. If n event is selected, but a subtrack is fcused, all events ff that fcused subtrack will be cpied. In this case the time t ffset befre the first event will be used while pasting at the destinatin. If events f ne subtrack are selected, these events will be cpied t the clipbard. The fcus has t be set t the target subtrack and the time psitin the first selected event shuld be pasted befre pressing the paste buttn. If events ff mre than ne subtrack are selected, all selected events will be cpied t the clipbard. The fcus has t be set t the first target subtrack and the timee psitin the first selected event shuld be pasted befre pressing the paste buttn. Pasting multiple subtracks is pssible, if the type f the targett subtracks matches the surce subtracks.. " The Timecde pl has a "link encder" ptin. A right muse clickk n the title f a subtrack in the Timecde editr penss a ppup t change c the subtrack functin. Timecde Editr: "Add Here" adds event at next frame, if there is already a event at the current psitin f the current subtrack. If there is als a event at next frame, n event will be added Selecting a Timecde event will shw the current trigger time f the selected event abve the event. Tuching and mving thiss flag will mve the event. When W selectingg mre than ne event, the flag will be at the last selected event. Timecde editr calculatr is using the current Timecde shw time unit. The time unit f a Timecde shw can be adjusted at the Timecde editr ptins menu. Timecde editr calculatr maximum time has been increased t 255h59m59s29F Add multiple events wizard at the Timecde editr. The number f added events can be adjusted at the first input bx.. The secnd and the third input bx are related t eachh ther when changing c ne f them the ther will autmatically be recalculated. Att the frth input bx, the cue f the first event can be selected. s Hitting please will create the events. If the number f cues is i less than the number f events t add, thee wizard will cntinue adding event starting frm the first cue f the sequence. Theree are 4 symbls in frnt f all Timecde tracks at the Timecde editr: a plus/minuss t expand r cllapse the subtracks f eachh track, a checkbx fr tggling the visibility f each track in text view, a play symbl (arrw) t enable/disable the playback f each track and a recrd symbl (red dt) t enable/disable the recrdd functinality f each track. Timecde tracks and subtracks can be lcked and unlcked using u the referring buttn at the track functins ppup. A padlck will be displayed, if a bject is lcked. The Timecde editr text view grid can be srted by any clumn. Tuchingg and swipe upwards r dwnwards at the headline f a clumn srts the grid by this clumn. Thee srting rderr is displayed by a small arrw insidee the headline f the clumn. Tw mre trigger types havee been added as cue triggers, SMPTE and MTC. M The Timecde psitin has t be entered at the trig time clumn f the sequence executr sheet. As any ther cue trigger, the SMPTE and MTC trigger will nly trigger the referring cue if the sequence playback is n and the cue previus t the Timecde triggered cue is active. Fader Wing setup The mapping f thee lgical 15 fader wide blcks f executrs t the physical internal fader mdules and external fader wings can be setup at this menu. The Fader Wing setup can be fund at the /setup/cnsle/faderwing and Mnitr Setup The buttn Add Wing setting adds a new cnfiguratin set. The buttn Delete Wing setting deletes the current fcused setting. The buttn select Wing setting activates the currently fcused setting. Thee currently used setting is displayed at the menu headline and by an green cell backgrund clr. The Page+/Page- buttns f the external fader wings can bee disabled at this dialgue t. Nte: Mnitr cnfiguratinn setup is nt supprted yet Nte: The Mini executr displays f screen 3 and 4 are nt fllwing the remappedd executrs, when remapping the internal fader mdules. New DMX Sheet headline buttns: "Prgrammer Clrs" displays the DMX values inn the same clrs as the fixture sheet des. 7 "Shw Attributes" shws the Attribute cntrlled by this DMX Channel, and "Shw w Address" shws all single DMX Addresses abve the DMX Value. Cmmand Line Remve has been added a t the calculatrs f the fllwing effect layers: lw, high, phase and width. New ps ptin: "ps" /clear" deletes all ps events. Mving executrs will nt switchh ff the executrs any mre. New cmmand: Selfix DMX [universe].[address] will select the channel/fixture patched at the referring DMX address. Pushing "Selfix" (2xSelect), and tuching any cell at a DMX sheet will select the fixture patched at thiss address. The Default cameraa f MA 3D can be set by the new cmmand "Select Camera [name f the camera]" New Cmmand Line cmmand: "Update Cue Thru /addnewcntent" (r "/an") will stre the current active values at all cues f the selected executr. "Update Cue Thru /riginalcntent" (r "/r" will update the currentt active valuess at the cues f the selected executr already cntaining the rigin values fr this attribute. Test buttns fr macr/sequence/agenda editr implemented. The buttn can be fund at the X10 hard key in the edit sequence dialgue, at the X9 and X10 hard key in the e macr editr dialgue and at the left sidee f the agenda day view. New Macr editr functins: disable single lines and enable/disable macr timing. New COMMENT character # in Cmmand Line. Everything behind the cmmand character will be ignred (f curse the cmment character can still be used inside strings) Live recrding f macrs has been implemented. The Syntax "Recrd Macr X" starts the live recrding. The hardkey cmbinatin MA+Learn will prvide direct access t the recrd keywrd. k An alternating Learn and a Macr buttn backlight will indicate an a active Macr recrding. Hitting "Recrd Macr Please" again will switch ff the recrding mde. m Live Recrding f Macrs will always generate timed macrs. Graphical User Interface Muse cursr and tuch cursrs have been separated; there is ne permanently visible muse cursr(white arrw) representingg the hardware muse. Each internal tuchh screen has its wn tuch cursr and will nt set thee muse cursr f the hardware muse anymre. External tuch screens will share the t muse cursr with the hardware muse. The musee cursr can bee set t an internal tuch screen psitin byy hlding dwn the nipple buttn while tuching the screen. The muse cursr will always a fllw the tuch cursr, if this ptin is activated at the Setup/Cnsle/Screen Optins. Buttns prvide visual feedback when pressed. - glw after buttn click iss visible fr 0.2 secnds after muse up. Numeric keypad can be used t input a cue number at the lad cue pp up. The current lgged in user is displayed additinally at the tls menu Frame clr f macrs assigned at view buttns r x-keys is linked t the frame clr f the macr pl. Layut View: duble tab temprarily tggling between select and mve mde can be activated/deactivated at the layut view ptins. Bitmap files imprt/exprt GUI has been addedd t the Setupp - Shw - Imprt/Exprt dialgue. When chsing a bitmap in the bitmap editr,, als USB drives can be usedd as bitmap surce. Fixture psitins can be set at the setup/patch+fixture schedule layer view. The psitin and rtatin clumns are a srted t the far right at the referring fixture rws. Frmer grup master view has been extended t the master view. The master view cntains tabs displaying grup masters, rate masters, speed masters and playback p masters. Repeating agenda events will bee displayed at every day/mnth/year the event will be executed. New menu cmmands: Menu ""User1"" r Menu ""U1"", t switch the X-key display t userkeys 1 thru 20. Menu ""User2"" r Menu ""U2"" will switch the X-key display t userkeys 21 thru 40 and Menu ""List"" r Menu ""LI"" will switch the X-key display t executr buttnss 201 thru 220. At a Replay unit the x-key display will be shwn at the encder bar area." " Bitmap Setup It is pssible t delete Bitmaps frm the internal drive at thee Setup / Shw/ ImprtExprt/Imprt Bitmaps dialgue. Bitmap Effects Clur Crrectinn defaults and ranges have been b imprved. Bitmap Effects: Thee new ptin "Add Dimmer" at the basic tab t sets the dimmer value ff all fixtures cntrlled by this bitmap effect t 100% while the bitmap is applied t the clrmix attributes. 3D mdels f fixture types are dynamically created. The physical set up ff a fixture typee can be changed at Setup/ Patch + Fixture Schedule/Fixture types/edit/mdule Manager. Editing ne f the 6 new clumns "Size X Y Z" r "Axis X Y Z" will pen the bdy descriptin dialgue shwing a graphic representatin f the fixture class chsen at the class clumn f the mdule manager. Each bdy dimensin can be edited. At a cnnected MA 3D applicatin. The pssibility t cnnect c t a cnsle using telnet can be disabled at the e Setup / Cnsle / Glbal Settings / Telnet. The sessin wide netwrk settingg TTL (Time t live) and TOS (Type f Service) can be set at the setup/cnsle/glbal settings dialgue. Changed MA Netwrk Cntrl dialgue: Sessins can be prtected using a sessin passwrd. The "Create/Jin Sessin" buttn hass been separated int tw buttns. Start Sessin createss a new sessin using the settings s f the MA Netwrk Cntrl dialgue. Jin sessin jins the sessin currently highlighted by the white fcus frame. Pressing thee jin sessin buttn while the white fcus frame is set t t uncnnected the cnsle will leave thee current sessin. Cnsles with disabled autjin ptin will ntt create nr jin a sessin att startup. The current netwrk status and sessin ID is permanently displayed at thee netwrk cnfiguratin screen headline. The encders fr the attributes Pan and Tilt can be inverted t adjust the encder rtatin t the mving directin f each fixture. This setting can be dne per fixture at the Patch + Fixture Schedule r when editing the fixture using the Edit Fixture cmmand. c Setup/Patch+Fixture Schedule/Fixture Types/Attribute+Encder Gruping/ /Attributes f Feature: New clumn Universal. Universal presets nly wrk as real universal u presets fr attributes with this clumn switched n. Universal presets f attributes with this clumn empty shw glbal preset behaviur. A netwrk sessin ff an grandma2 npc withut any cnsle cnnected is limited t 4096 parameters. The parameters f ne cmmand wing and all cnnected MA 2Prt Ndes npc, MA 2Prt Ndes npc Pr and MA NSP in 4Prt Nde mde are cunted until thee limit f 4096 parameters is i reached. Edit macr Line r Sequence CMD clumn ppup als supprts the npc Executr View. Assignable playback views cannt be used as input fr the macr line and have t bee entered using the cmmand hard keys instead. grandma2 npc can be scaled by the user. Imprved npc Wing Firmware New indicatr feature f the npc wing executr buttn backlight: Buttn 1 backlight ff: Executr is empty; Buttn 1 backlight dark: Executr is nt empty; Buttn 1 backlight bright: Executr is active; New Calibratin dialgue fr the 15.4 tuch screens. New screensaver has been implemented. The backlights f the 15.4 screens are turned ff after 5 minutes f screensaver activity If the sequence pl is full, it will nt be pssible t stre new sequences anymre.. In this case, a ppup will warn the use and an errr will be displayed in the cmmand line respnse. Special tuch cursr added, t display thee current tuched psitin at the screen. Update keywrd and updatee menu: secnd press f the update hardkey cancels thee update keywrd at the Cmmand Line and clses the update dialg. The GUI supprt fr parking single attributes has been implemented. E.g. pressing the park hardkey and the tilt encder label afterwardss will park tilt values f current selectin. Buttns have been added t the mini executr view abve the 100mmm faders. The specialmasterss 1 thru 9 display the buttns f the selected sequence; all ther special masters display the buttns referring t this special master. This feature can be deactivated at the setup/user/setting Special Fader Buttns ptin. The current versin f the MA 2 prt ndee sftware is displayed at the lwer part f the Setup / Netwrk / MA Netwrk Cntrl / 2Prtt tab. The idea behind it: since a Virtual Output can be assigned with a dedicated, single Camera, yu can rute certain Layers t this dedicated Camera. S these Layers are nly displayed d n that Camera and thus nly renderd n the Pixel Mapper Output. Yu can rute as many Layers t that Virtual Output as yu like. The next step is t rute this Virtual Output as Virtual Input nt anther Layer. This T Layer is nly displayed n a Camera that is nly visible n a DVI Outut. O What is s it gd fr: the t user can create utput display arrangements where each single arrangement is cntrlled by a Camera.
