R. Gurney that I have been involved with. Gurney is a prolific writer who has spent a lifetime exploring the comic potential of that endangered species, the American WASP and what I enjoy about his work is that it can be so touching and yet damned funny. LATER LIFE Feb. 4-20, 2016 by A. R. Gurney In A.R. Gurney s bittersweet comedy. Austin and Ruth may re-ignite a former romance. On an apartment balcony in Boston and bombarded by an onslaught of well-wishers (played by only two other actors) they must decide what their later life may be. FOR THE PLEASURE OF SEEING HER AGAIN Apr. 7-23, 2016 by Michael Tremblay A funny, affectionate, and moving portrait of the bond between mother and son in a series of hilarious arguments about everything from rare roast beef to the mystery of where people go to the bathroom in novels. One of Michel Tremblay s most popular plays. THE MUSIC MAN June 2-18, 2016 by Meredith Willson There s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. Meredith Willson s TONY Award winning musical is by turns wicked, funny, romantic and touching.
