It is also a rarely used ord as a music title. So I adopted it or this piece because it is a ork that irst appeared as ne music or a NACUSA concert here ne music is enoyed in a "seminar conversation" as ell as un time or composerperormers. The piece as ritten or Dr. Joe L. Alexander, tubist and proessor at Louisiana Tech University. The orld premiere took place at Louisiana Tech on April 25, 2015, ith Dr. Alexander on tuba and the composer on trombone. Musically, the piece explores the unique poer o the combined tuba-trombone timbre through a variety o interval combinations. Composer Bio Wisconsin native Ken Davies (.kendavies.net) has had acoustic and electronic orks perormed at numerous ne music estivals such as the Society o Composers, Electroacoustic Barn Dance, Southeastern Composers League (he is a past president), Electronic Music Midest, International Trombone Festival, National Association o Composers USA, Christian Felloship o Art Music Composers, arma Music Festival, London Ne Wind Festival (UK), and Sonic Coast (UK). Since 2002, he resides in coastal south Mississippi. Aards include the Mississippi Arts Commissionʼs erorming Arts Felloship or Composition (three times), the Mississippi Music Teachersʼ Associationʼs Commissioned Composer O The Year, and inner o the American Trombone Workshop National Composition Competition. His music studies ere at the University o Wisconsin at Madison, Yale School o Music, Middle Tennessee State University at Murreesboro (MA trombone), and the University o Colorado at Boulder (MM composition). A riter and publisher member o ASCA, his music is published by Kenvad Music.
